Is there a more efficient way to test my mod?

So I'm trying to make a mod for myself (nothing special) but it requires alot of tweaking and for like 3 days striaght ive been building my asi file, dragging it into GTA V dir. then starting the game waiting for it to load only to alt f4 it 10 seconds after loading in then repeat. Is there anyway I can get GTA V to reload the asi file without me having to restart the game?

did you try loading a save instead of restarting the game?

Yeah, I think it only reads asi files when the game first loads

I know your pain. I think 10 % of my time went into actual modding and tweaking, and 90 % in straight loadings and these f*cking switching characters cutscenes.

 

As far as i know there's no way around it. Not with OpenIV at least.

try this guy's method, you're saying .asi so I presume you're referring to AB's C++ scripthook - looks like you just have to press CTRL+R while in GTA V to reload all .asi/.dll files (and implement the correct methods in the script)
