[V|REL] Enhanced Taxi Missions

A ScriptHookVDotNet mod that aims to bring more variety to your taxi-driving adventures.

Features

  • Random number of passengers for each trip (between 1 and 3)
  • 475 individual pick-up and drop-off locations
  • Pick-up locations and destinations change depending on the time of day
  • Taxi missions can be played in the following vehicles: Taxi, Stretch, Schafter, Oracle, Washington, Super Drop.
  • Player is paid based on distance between pick-up and drop-off locations. Base fare is $6, and every mile driven is $25.
  • Customers tip the player based on the speed of delivery.
  • Demand is based on the time of day and day of the week. You'll receive your fares quicker during rush hour and on weekends than at 2am on a Tuesday morning.
  • Random peds on the street may hail player if driving a taxi cab.

Wishlist

  • More locations
  • More factors affecting tip payments (vehicle damage & dirt state, speed of pick-up, driving style)
  • Celebrity passengers (who tip better)
  • Random special missions (e.g. drive Epsilon members from HQ to strange locations / drive Celeb to movie premiere / passenger needs to catch a plane at the airport)

In-Game

  • Press the toggle key (Default "L") to turn the missions on and off
  • If a passenger gets stuck while trying to get into the vehicle, you can use the horn once to get the passenger to retry entering the vehicle. If it still doesn't work, toggle the missions off and on to reset.
  • Once you've picked up a passenger, a countdown timer will appear on the UI. As long as it's green, your tip will be 40% of the fare. Once the timer turns yellow, your tip will start to decrease. Once the timer reaches zero, you will not receive a tip. However, you can still complete the mission and receive the base fare.

 

Customization

  • Edit the EnhancedTaxiMissions.ini file to customize the toggle key and distance units.
  • Acceptable values for the toggle key are "A" through "Z", "0" through "1" and "F1" through "F12".
  • Acceptable values for unit measurements are "MI" and "KM"
  • FAREPERMILE determines how much you get paid per mile driven with a customer.
  • AVERAGESPEED determines how fast you need to get to your destination before the countdown timer reaches zero. Larger numbers mean you need to drive faster.
  • AUTOSAVE - set to "1" to enable autosaving after each successfully completed fare.
  • You can force reload the settings by pressing the "divide" key on your number pad. The script will notify you what settings were found in the ini file.

Installation
Requirements:

To Install:

  • Remove any old .dll version of the mod you may have.
  • Place the EnhancedTaxiMissions.vb and EnhancedTaxiMissions.ini files into your "scripts" folder, located in the main GTA V directory. If the folder doesn't exist, create it.

Known Bugs

  • The route to your destination may disappear. The cause is unknown at the moment. Fortunately, the blip remains on the map to help you find your way.
  • If multiple passengers are getting into your car, they will act as if they're being carjacked. Their behavior calms down after about 15 seconds.
  • Using the horn while in the taxi will activate the stock taxi missions. Looking into disabling minigames while this script is active for a future update.

New version 0.8.1.2 up. Hopefully it's fixed; I couldn't replicate the problem on my end.

Edit: I had a bug on mine where it kept spawning two separate fares at once causing the text to overlay and be hardly readable.

You probably copied both the .vb and the .dll file into your scripts folder. Use only one of them.

 

 

Ooooh, nice. I always like these type of mods which makes typical NPC jobs which you can play better

Edit: I had a bug on mine where it kept spawning two separate fares at once causing the text to overlay and be hardly readable.

The mod bug like when i have the old scripthookdotnet, the divide key reset the mod but the L key doesnt work :/

The newest version 0.8.2 doesn't work..when I reload the script it says reloaded but the L key doesn't do anything when in proper car. When on foot, it tells me to use proper car, but in that proper car it doesn¨t do anything.

Are you on the newest build of Script Hook Dot Net? Older versions had this issue with UI refreshes.

Could you please add Oracle XS to the list of the limo service cars? In fact, it'd be even better if you'd make a 'cheat' option in the .ini, so we can start the mission in any 4 door vehicle we want. This would be great for people who would be looking to do the missions using some other car, without spamming you with requests for adding them.

Great mod!

 

I love to drive a cab. Here is my suggestion. Change a color of information interface, for limo and taxi. Limo - black and white. Taxi - black and yellow. And add a columns: Time, Fare and Tip.

 

Example. For taxi, Initial charge is $2.50. If customer is going to the airport, it should be a flat fare $45. Or other values. Or let us to program the meter via .ini.

For car and limo services, as i know, fare is unmetered, they don't use taxi meters.

 

And make a posibility for use a additional taxi car models. Taxi2, taxi3, taxi4, etc.

In future, we planning to turn our 1999 and 2001 FCV L.C.C. Taxi to LS cabs.

I think it should be paid by the mile and not a timed event. A real taxi does not work that way and does not race around like a mad man. If paid by the mile you can play like a real taxi driver and take the customer 10 blocks out of the way to increase the fair.

If i'm not wrong, there's no time limit in mod. Just, when a tip countdown is ended, it shows a game clock.

In my suggestion, i didn't meant to make a time fares.
