Regardless of whether people “hated” it it’s still a dumb, sweeping generalisation.

 

You really think every person who’s a fan of GTA IV “hated” it before GTA V was a figment of the imagination? Of course not.

 

Even still people are allowed to change their minds. There are many games I’ve disliked, but coming to them later on have given me a new appreciation for them.
 

In the GTA series itself as many people would know who know me I was never a big fan of San Andreas or GTA V, but when I went back to them I appreciated them much more than I would’ve have say 3-4 years ago. 
 

Anyway in any case if someone hated GTA IV and only started to praise it because they didn’t like GTA V who cares. It’s their prerogative and they’re not hurting anyone are they?
