Unable to edit in OpenIV

I've reinstalled it 3+ times and I click edit mdoe after I install it, it gives the warning, It says I need openiv.asi and asiloader so I clickinstall. I'm still unable to edit. if I right click I files it only gives me the option to view the file, view in hex, or view as text. The "Edit" option is grayed out and I've searched everywhere for the answer.
