GTA: Carcer City - converting the MH map to SA!

Im going to convert a few more levels if there are any. Like the weasel level..

How about including a trailer parck in CC? In VCS there should be a trailer parck, that can be taken as base.

But yeah, there's a lot more better proportioned trailers in SA than in VCS.

It's time for another update :) Recently, I've been working both on an original R* model (you know, as before - half modelled, with plenty of mesh f#$%ups) and my own stuff. Basically, I've extended the roads, surrounded the central building (the one I've shown in the last post) with them and added a custom row house (renders #4, #5 and also #6, on the right side).

The right side of the building (with semicircular window) is custom, loosely based on one of the photos posted by Glenni91 on page 2. Of course, this building is not as tall as the one from the photo, since I've got to stick to R*'s style, but you can expect more industrial stuff in the future - as long as it fits to other buildings around.

4j9usl.jpgMentioned before row house. I've felt like this kind of architecture would perfectly fit Carcer City's vibe. It's pretty much pure Manhattan in its NOT finest. Probably won't be surprising if I tell that I was strongly inspired by Led Zeppelin's Physical Graffiti album cover. Also, when I was working on the model, I couldn't stop thinking about... Home Alone 2.

I think the junkyard had a trailer in it, just a retextured version of Phil's place from VC.

edit:

 

I've decided that we should change the roads in the current levels and make them wider but keep the buildings. We could replace some stuff, and still keep MH's style and feel considering the map.

Yes, because trains have never, ever, in the history of trains, EVER run on electricity. That and you're assuming that, past or present, subways never, ever, EVER ran on steam.

Btw while Detroit is a run down mess,it is not the setting of manhunt,idk were ppl get this idea from(Anyone can write whatever on Wiki).Right off the bat,carcer city has a extensive subway system,where as Detroit does not infact Detroit doesnt have ANY subway system.You have to look at what it has to kinda tell where it is really located.

But Camdon, Gary and other towns that CC could be based on, have also no subway. I know that GTAwiki contain a lot of buls***, but if not Detroit, which city could feat CC beter?

In some other Wiki I read that CC should be based on Philadelphia, but for me Phily is not asociated with the rust bell.

For f*cks sake, do what III did and base it off a generic city that would exist in that region rather than trying to pinpoint what city it's supposed to be based on. That'd be the best way to do it.
