Questions about remote bombs...

real simple question, i know you cant modify a car after you put a bomb on it, but once you put that bomb on, if its a personal vehicle, does that bomb stay on it forever, or is it a one time deal, leaving you able to modify it after you use the bomb and call the insurance company to reclaim it?

Another thing, when you trigger the bomb, say a friend is in your car, do they get a message saying you killed them or would it just say "_insert name here_ died"?

It's a one time deal, and if you called detonate it would say.. jokersmokertoker exploded you

Yes, kills count. I really wouldn't do this unless you're working toward that medal for killing with this trick as the price is pricey(I did it back in Billionaire days). Much cheaper to hide a sticky on a car and use that instead. You still have to pay Insurance if the vehicle's Insured... along with any caught in the blast.

Just a note. If you put a bomb (ignition or detonation) on a PV and request it via mechanic or quick inventory, the bomb disappears

I recently started to use more ignition bombs to get the medal. It feels rewarding when someone walks into my trap and dies.

So what if we get out of the car and we get in again? Will we set the bomb off and get blown up?

No, only other players set it off.

Ignition Bomb is a one-off mod - once you use it or change sessions, it's gone.

You can recover an insured car from Mors and it'll come back with no bomb and be moddable.

The real trick is an enticing bait car - most people will ignore or wreck an obvious PV, but there are certain cars that will fool anyone if you know where to put them.

session changes don't always remove the bomb, it's flaky. Varies with patches.

The Hearse works everytime, I'll park it in a parking spot at LSC as if it just happened to spawn there.

Works every single time without fail.

For me it's a rigged Gold Dubsta parked outside LSC, gets them every time but it's an expansive hobby as you pay for the bomb & the have to pay the insurance so its quite expensive just to get a cheap kill.

the scientists washington (without visual mods) works too.

Any low end, stock looking vehicle that you can find off the street should do the trick

I'd never get into a hearse at LSC - they don't spawm there so I'd assume a trap. My trick would fool even me if someone else used it.
