Hey guys ya know that dithering in the game is what allows it to have its beauty and seamless (sorta) transition of texture lods and this allows the game to operate at the fluent frame rates that it does. Without this dithering the game would use so much more video ram it wouldn't be playable.

gameconfig.xml breaks the game on latest patch. Seems like the newer patch have a bigger gameconfig.xml (more lines). Works fine without it. Any side effects of removing it?

Hey, robi. Not that I want to whine, or anything, god forbid. I want to ask as kindly as possible without affecting you negatively.

 

Ever since I saw the alpha video of Icehancer for GTA V I wanted to see someone recreate the visuals that were included there

 

 

 

Do you think there's a chance you could release version of VisualV with similar settings as shown here?

 

Again, I'm just asking.

No doubt, but I have this specific thing for a sky where I want it to look pretty much as it's shown on the video, while I've noticed you have a thing for lighter shades of blue when it comes to sky. Taste difference, hence why I was asking :)

Haha, nope. I'm in the team too. Editing timecycles in V is harder than in GTA IV, so it takes too much time.

VisualV 1.0.015 RELEASED!

- Completely reworked extra sunny weather, including:
- Changed direct lighting for all hours.
- Indirect lighting is based on real sunny weather.
- Realistic sky & shadow colors for day & night.
- Clouds has been removed.
- Darker night on countryside (try to spot something in far without headlights!).
- Moon position on sky has been fixed (in vanilla game, moon moved from west to east).
- New moon texture.
- Clearer radar rectangle.
- 2D shadows under vehicles are in higher resolution (Improved Under-Car/Bike Shadows for GTA IV used in VisualIV).
- Water foam texture is in higher resolution.
- Dithered shadows from dynamic light spots has been fixed.
- Sky HDR have been improved to the real world.
- Fog colors and density has been matched to the real world.
- Puddle layout texture have been improved.
- Subtle heat haze effect have been added.
- Chromatic Aberration effect was removed.
- Bloom have been reduced.
- DOF effect is locked at 4,5km/2.79 miles.
- Draw Distance have been enhanced to 15km/9.32 miles.
- Wind have been toned down.
- Vignetting effect have been removed.
- Rain puddles are drying quicker.
- Godrays has been altered.
- Ambient Occlusion have been altered.
- Banding effect issue have been removed.
- Pause menu has been reworked:
- First Person menu have been added, all FPP options are here now.
- Language menu have been added to Display menu
- Output Adapter and Output Monitor options has been added to Graphics menu.
- All menu options looks more suitable.
- Pause menu effects for all characters has been improved.
- Character switching is much faster.
- Rockstar logos video have been replaced by 2 seconds blank video.

This is really great ! Congrat ! A little too dark at night for me, as I use my SweetFX on it (LEVELS between 5-10)...btw could you tell me wich variables should I tweak for that (personnal use of course)

VisualV is not designed to work with SweetFX.

FPS should be the same as in vanilla game.
