Very nice improvement over the old version. Extra sunny could probably use a bit of extra fog in the distance, but otherwise I like it. Does the mod implement some kind of heat haze effect? Noticed something like that when using extra sunny weather.

Can't check right now, but you mentioned shadow cascades being fixed. Does this mean that they stay blurry even when you get up close to them?

 

Also, does this mod introduce an "ultra" option for shader quality?

First and second shadow cascade are rendered a little further than with original values.

I figured out how, use type 0 under the light sprite enb ini config

 

btw, does this mod include all weather types in the timecycle already or is it just sunny?

Actual weather files included for latest version are: extra sunny, sunny, smog, cloudy, overcast and rainy.

A bit off-topic, but hopefully you can answer this. Regarding pedestrian and vehicle density, what's the difference between increasing it past 1.0 with settings.xml versus modifying gameconfig.xml like this mod does?

I can't notice any ingame difference between these methods, traffic density seems to be nearly identical. Editing settings.xml could cause crash quicker than using gameconfig.xml file.

I planned to spawn more peds on Vespucci Beach by popcycle.dat, but game is ignoring changes.

Hmm, guess I'll leave settings.xml as is and just edit the gameconfig file then. Thanks.

 

BTW, why does this mod make changes to the menu? The advanced graphics settings menu has some formatting issues with this mod installed. Plus I get a pop-up when going to the settings menu after loading a save asking if I want to save changes made, even if I haven't made any changes.

I don't know a reason of popup, I had it even on vanilla game. Try to remove settings.xml and set graphic settings again.

Yeah I had that problem on vanilla, nothing to do with the mod. It isn't here for me since the latest patch though.

Could you set the shadow cascades back to normal in the next version, please? The shadow box is a lot more noticeable with this mod, especially during cutscenes.

Here's a comparison. The shadow box is incredibly obvious with this mod, which is unfortunate because otherwise the game looks so much better with it. A hotfix would be much appreciated.

I appreciate the effort, but the issue is still there. Replay the Hood Safari mission and you can see it in the opening cutscene. The box is still there without the mod, but far more subtle.

I love the heat haze effect but it's basically right next to a car.. it should be a lot further like this:dX1BWEu.jpg

 

Is it possible to adjust a distance and amount of the heat haze?
