Alright guys, so i just wanted to say thanks to everyone who came out tonight. We've been having a lot of fun doing this, well, some of us. I gotta say, people join our meet, and think it's just like any other. They're not. After the past few nights meets that we've had, I've done a lot of thinking, hell, even tonight. I finally had to unplug my mic and just cruise and get some alone time. I gotta say, I for one, haven't been having fun hosting these meets anymore. It's actually a little upsetting hosting a meet and having everyone pretty much turn it into a typical free roam lobby. Nobody know's how much time and effort I have actually put into hosting these, I mean look at my thread if you don't think I'm serious.

I started these meets and this crew so that way people had a place to go when they wanted to play GTA, but didn't wanna be in a lobby gettin' killed and whatnot. Lately, that's what my lobbies have become, and I'm over it. I hope the ADMINS will agree.


I have almost reached my whit's end. And I know, I know, it's a GTA game for a reason, but just remember why i started this. Now all i get is it spit right back in my face.


If, and i mean if, I continue to host lobbies and keep this crew alive there will be a very strict lobby presence. If your not as serious as I am about these meets, then either get out and don't ever ask for an invite.


I think that's it. I'll still be on in a Private Lobby if anyone truly wants in...

I appreciate all the work you and the other admins have put into this. However, I still haven't been able to get into a meet. As I have posted before, this is exactly the type of group I have been looking for. I can guarantee that I will be just as serious as you are. Hopefully things will continue and I'll be able to get into a meet soon.

They didn't like you, so they got rid of you just how they did me, so you posted something negative about their meets, but you kept talking about them. I had a friend start a crew as far back as Midnight Club 2 online. It's easier when the game is just a lobby and the mission which is why I usually stick to that logic of Jobs. Doing a Free Roam crew is a tough prospect because when people are allowed to do what they want, they usually do. They don't have your exact vision and it's why most crews on GTA don't last is because the upkeep is insane compared to other games and so easily distracted.

 

The first thing you should ask yourself is if you're asking too much from the players in your group. You have great meets but if you grip to hard its like clay seeping out through your fingers. Next, the longer you leave them out amongst themselves without direction the more things fall apart so when you're not directed it will happen and you just need to give them something to do and they will line up.

 

One thing I see in most meets is that people get in lobbies and they get fidgety waiting for people to show up and they start getting sloppy then and there. Once things get out of control it's out of control. What has worked for me is instead of having a random meet up somewhere just go to where you're going to be drag racing or drifting and let everyone know its on and get the brackets started and get people racing with practice runs etc. That means people are focused and if someone is cruising around on the map not paying attention who cares? You'll be too busy doing the race and setting the lines, etc. Make sure tracks are well defined too and have yourself at the start "line" and someone at the finish "line" that can say who won. The same logic can go for car shows, etc. When people start getting awards they'll focus more and be dedicated to remove any unwanted and unfocused players because they're dedicated to winning. That's why having a single class works so well with multiple events and awards. And keep track of the awards and allow player to issue challenges as well, but once things get going you have control of the brackets for who won. That's why I would say do the car show first because people arriving you can say to anyone coming in, "get over here, we've already started!" Set up a staging route so that you can photograph anyone coming in and then they line up to be judged and use the number system. If the person moves their car they default the competition.

 

Lastly, take a deep breath! Your first thought will be to say, "these people suck" but people do what you tell them to do for the most part so if things are getting out of control its because they aren't getting instruction. Don't say, "I'm getting frustrated", tell everyone what they should be doing, not "this is why I made this group". The last meet I went to you said "this isn't what we put this together for." I still don't know what you were talking about, what upset you, or who was breaking the rules as everyone was parked and having pictures taken but you drove off with your own group. Since they didn't know what was going on they just kept doing what they were doing while at the same time most were trying to make you happy and I know nobody came to this show just to make you happy. Get what I'm saying?

 

You got a good event going and you're about to sacrifice it because of rookie mistakes and I can't sit by and watch that happen. Get it together and lets make this work. You said this wasn't about you, it was about everyone and now you're making it you and saying "I" a lot. Lets keep this US and we can own it and make it better and if you doubt what I'm saying just look at posts from Chris, Dos, etc. etc. who are pushing for this. These guys want to help. DOS even hosted his own event under the banner. It's not WE anymore, it's a TEAM.

I literally agree 100% with Primo, We do these meets for everyone to have fun. Show off some cars and relax. It's about "us" as a group, not just "I", I mean if you want to do only certain people join your lobbies who are "worthy" then it's on you man.
