I agree. Depending on the state tags on an old Civic can be anywhere from like $20 to $150. And insurance will probably run about $100 per month. And gas is entirely Dependant on how far you are driving. With gas at $3.50-$3.80 per gallon these days you probably won't be driving as much as you want. Even in a fuel efficient Civic.

Yup I'd be able to handle the car in my case, dunno bout the other guy, but it's gas where that gets tricky- that's a fillup every week, I'd think about 50-70 dollars per week gone. Just in gas alone

Yeah I could handle it as well but Xavierr said previously that he only makes $7.25 an hour working 20 hours a week. So a 350z just seems completely out of the question

Well as another Monday approaches, a whole new week of school begins. I wonder what this week holds for me. I try not to ever be too optimistic as it can only lead to letdowns, but I'm gonna keep my mind open to the possibility that maybe just maybe something good could happen this week. I don't know what, but maybe something will surprise me...I truly hope.

Sometimes I don't get what the point is.

 

My parents want me to keep a job to save up for a car to commute to college but then talk about moving and telling me I should live on the campus we move to, rendering all my efforts to get a car I'll love - useless, also rendering all my efforts to go back to school where I live and continue my major there- useless, also rendering my efforts to keep my managers pleased -useless because when I move I'll have to find a completely different anyways.

 

A used motorcyle is dirt cheap but my parents won't let me get one.

 

If I do go back to my original university , there's no way I can deal with being dropped off by my parents to my 8 am class because I had to choose a schedule the revolved around whoever could get me a ride to wherever I needed to go.

Well my older sister found out I was stealing her alcohol...She just casually came into my room and was like "you know, If you want alcohol all you have to do is ask and i'll buy you some". It's kind of funny how I thought I was being all slick and discreet, and then she told me how obvious it was haha. I'm kind of embarrassed she noticed, but hey at least I can just ask her to buy me some instead now and I know shes cool with it. It sucks being 17 and the legal drinking age in America being 21. God, I feel like I'm gonna be a future alcoholic, I mean that wouldn't surprise me since pretty much all the guys in my family are currently or have been alcoholics in the past. I really gotta limit myself, but alot of my stoner friends aren't allowed to smoke anymore so now they drink instead and I'm kinda surrounded by alcohol instead now.

Regarding that last part, you can actually drink as a minor in most U.S. states. However, purchasing alcohol under 21 is illegal.
