My brain keeps me up at night reminding me of all the stupid and embarrassing things I did ten years ago

I'm constantly reminded of the stupid sh*t I did earlier this year. I've moved away from that and my life has gotten a lottt better but those memories constantly come back. Like hourly. I have to keep thinking of other things when they pop up.

 

 

It's all in the past, what can you do? It's important to remember the context. I thought of a past relationship recently where I did something PAINFULLY awkward as we were "gearing up" to sexual advances. At first, I thought: "Oh god, how could I be that cringeworthy?" but then I remembered, we were both inexperienced at the time, and it she was equally as awkward. Nobody sits around remembering the stupid things other people did.

I feel like the world misunderstands me. Everyone, everything, and all the thing's. I have become attracted to my mother, not in a sexual way. But more than a mother/son.

 

She's been the only female in my life for YEARS. Even though I'm bisexual I feel love and passion for a women.

 

My step dad and dad don't know who they had/have. She's such an amazing women. I have been depressed these days more than others due to being lonely.

I just bought a game from Steam using my mom's debit card, without telling her. I'm kinda scared right now.

This kind of thinking can really bring you down. I get where you're coming from.

 

The best thing you can down is resign yourself to the fact that you can't change the past. Hindsight is absolutely painful at times: "if I'd just asked her...", "if I'd not done this...", "if I'd just joined the army instead of going to college...". Thinking like this is waste of time, and it's addictive. It can really harm your productivity.

 

Just try to avoid making the same mistakes in the future. You really don't want to get into a cycle of depression.

@Sheen: Doesn't surprise me given the lifestyle he leads. He was good in Platoon.

I did think about it but I don't know, I just did it. It's my first purchase from Steam, I assumed it would send a confirmation email or something, but it didn't.
