Feeling blue. My dear cat Pebbles passed away today. She was 17 and had a long life, so it was expected, but it's always a sad time losing a family pet. She was born under my bed all those years ago.

There's something I love so much about this time of Night, it's addictive at this point. You never really get the chance to truly think during the Day, there's so much sh*t happening around you, I wish it could be Night all the time. Anyone else feel this way? You'd think I was a Vampire tbh, I just thrive at Night, so much more happier, I find things strangely funnier, I'm a lot more motivated, and I'm so damn creative. During the Day, I'm so unmotivated.

 

Oh, and then I get in bed, and start thinking about life. Rinse and repeat.

They say you need to love yourself before you love anyone else. Lately I've been wondering if by working out a lot, and trying to alter my appearance to what I'd think look better- am I doing this because I love myself , or am I doing this because I'm disgusted with myself?

 

and if one day I do get a v-cut six pack, the perfect haircut, and a ton of money, would I be okay with myself? And would I be okay with the people I attract- people who wouldn't even bat an eye at or make fun of the person I am today?

You know, it's kind of scary thinking about being on the edge of adulthood. Here I am, one year away from being turned loose into the wide world, and I don't know what I want to do with myself. Sure, I'd like to travel and see the world, that's something I've always desired. But what will be my purpose in life, the thing that I devote the majority of my time to? I don't have a clue, and sometimes it almost feels like I don't know enough about myself to have a clue. It also feels like I've gotten old. The opportunities presented to expand myself as a growing child have passed, and those are some of the most important stages in life. Sure, I'm excited to jump into adulthood. But I'm also intimidated.

Well I went onto someone's profile who had no votes (stars) and voted a one star and then it stayed like that... So I think as long as someone has no votes (stars) and you vote for whatever you vote for it only takes one user to do it and it stays like that.

 

PS; I'm feeling as though I'm taking the whole vote thing far to seriously... :lol:

Amused...

 

So i called my Grandpa on my way home to ask him if he wanted/needed anything and he asked me if i could get him some Ice Cream.

 

My Grandpa never asks for anything you have to prod him to answer you if you're offering something.

 

Well i went to this little ice cream stand close by and i walk up and the girl says hi blah blah blah the flavor of the week blah blah blah what can i get you?

 

I said can i get a medium....Chocolate, Strawberry & Vanilla in cup please?

 

She says, Oh i'm sorry we don't have Neapolitan..

 

I said i know you don't that's why i asked for Chocolate.....Strawberry........&.....Vanilla

 

She looks at me and says....I told you we don't have Neapolitan here...

 

I said look i know you don't have Neapolitan i'm not asking for Neapolitan i am asking for a scope of Chocolate, a scope of Strawberry and a scoop of Vanilla in a cup...

 

She looks at me and says "Dude for the 3rd time we don't have Neapolitan that's when i guess the manager or owner came over and said..."Honey, He isn't asking for Neapolitan he's asking for a scope of each flavor" the girl looks at her boss and says but that's Neapolitan and we don't have that.

 

The woman looks at me and said that'll be $2.50 she walks over put a scope of each in a cup and hands it to me.

 

I turned around and by this time i had a line 7 deep behind me and it's so quiet you could've heard a pin drop with the look on everybody face in amazement on how stupid the girl was acting.

Blame the media they don't paint blacks in a good light and a lot of misconceptions that all blacks are "Thugs, Gangbanger, Murders, Rapist...ect"

Yeah it's a great feeling til you think about something else for two seconds and realize you lost the good idea.

Well if you're anything like how you come off in your posts, I'd say it's not so much your skin color and more the fact that you're kind of creepy.

Well if you're anything like how you come off in your posts, I'd say it's not so much your skin color and more the fact that you're kind of creepy.

 

Ive said nothing even remotely creepy while on here so I dont know what youre talking about.

Its frustrating. At work its hard to fit in and I think its because of that. The rest of the people are whites and asians Im the only black guy so fitting in is hard.

It is however not unlikely that it's a result of generally unflattering stereotypes perpetuated by both media and people in general, giving the idea that criminals etc. are representative of all who share that visual characteristic.

It doesn't have to be you or your skin color, it could be general paranoia. It is however not unlikely that it's a result of generally unflattering stereotypes perpetuated by both media and people in general, giving the idea that criminals etc. are representative of all who share that visual characteristic. Additionally, black people are unfortunately often living in high-crime areas as a result of the racist mistreatment of them over all of western history. I don't even know if that is a fact or not, that speaks volumes.

 

Unfortunately that's a thing called Redlining.
