I hate myself. Im too shy to even say hi to a girl.

 

Before you say "Just say hi!" The situation is horrible. I've known her since 6th grade. It was one of those 'love at first sight' kinda things. I put a note in her locker asking her to a dance. She asked me if I did it I said no but she knew I did. I started ignoring her and acting awkward around her and she'd tease me with it. Sorta in a playful way. So now here we are in 9th grade and I have yet to say hi to her. :'(

Eh. Still on the fence about quitting my job.

 

I've just recovered from being mentally unhealthy, and the old bat(s) I work for really send my mind to a dark place sometimes, on the other hand this would be my second job that I quit because I didn't feel like dealing with people. I don't wanna be seen as a quitter.

 

Might be this area I moved to, probably every one up here is a jackass.

 

Maybe I'll just save up for the things I want and then quit and just focus on school.

I did the same thing you did and soon as i put it in her lock i regretted it and wanted to get it back but to my surprise she said yes i went on to date her for 4 more years and got married when we turned 18 but we got divorced a few years ago.

Get a job as a trash collector you work in the wee hours of the morning and no people to deal with...

 

You get to work clock in do your job and clock out, There's not a lot of jobs out there that don't require at least some kind of interaction with people except maybe a dog walker

Don't let that get in your way more guys then you think are the same way and feel just like you do and they end up dating very beautiful women....

 

Although the one downside is, With you being good friends that If you guys were to date and it ended badly you could stop talking but the pros still outweigh the cons.

 

What about working your way up to it?

 

Like on monday take her in some cookies, then a few days later buy her something to drink at lunch or buy her lunch and after a little while move on to offering to help her study and then move onto bigger tokens of affection til you're ready to give her a single rose with a note saying how you feel and that you think she's beautiful and how much you like her and then ask her if she'd like to go out to dinner or a movie sometime.

 

If she's as sweet as you make her seem she is i don't think she'll be able to resist your charm.

I can deal with people. But the managers are constantly on my back about anything. Even small things like not taking all of the trash out in one trip.( Id rather take two trips so that trash doesn't spill everywhere)

All aboard the bad feels train tonight. Had a sh*t weekend dealing with some family issues.

 

Man. Isn't it amazing how hearing a single song can transport you to another time and place? I was going through some old music of mine and heard this gem:

 

It absolutely hit me so deep. I have this feeling that can only be described as an ache, a longing, in my heart. I almost feel like silently sobbing.

 

This song means a lot to me. Won't get into it. But one instance I remember hearing this song in, was 4 years ago when I graduated high school. Rather right before. Was sitting in my grade 12 law class. I still had hope then. I still had something to look forward to.

 

Now I hear this again, after ages, a month on from graduating from university. And I am in a vastly different place, with not much hope left, and not much to look forward to.

 

Amazing how a song can bring back such memories and emotions, and your depression evolves from just a feeling of everlasting numbness to wanting to explode.

Yesterday, my brother broke up with his girlfriend at the celebration of my birthday.

 

I just don't know what to say. She's been participating in various family reunions this year and my entire family really seemed to like her a lot.

 

She gone now and I feel sorry for her. She has been left behind her entire life, had a parentless childhood and backstabbed by many of those she used to call 'friends'. Now I feel like my dear brother has done the same to her. He did tell me that he wished to end the relationship in good terms, which is of course gentle of him, yet I never got the reason for it.

It's not necessarily too late. I was friends with a neighbor when we were kids and then our friendship kind of dissolved over time but then I picked things up again in 2012. She was actually quite receptive to it after a while. I started saying hi and then there were short conversations and then we had like a half an hour conversation where I got to know her a lot better (I found out that she was a lot smarter than I thought). Sure it was awkward at first but it got way better over time.

 

Yes. Before you get to initiate any form of conversation with someone you barely know you might feel like there is no way you're going to be able to make a move. However, once you start talking to them you'll get a lot more optimistic. Then it is just a matter of improvising. Preparing for conversations ahead of time doesn't really work. Once you start talking to her you will probably be less and less nervous around her and then you'll find things to talk about. That's how it worked for me but I was lucky to talk to someone who is very friendly.

Absolutely. The worst thing that can happen is rejection, which you'll get over, eventually. It's way better than being left wondering what might've been.

 

OT: I'm feeling really tired even though I slept well last night. I also had no appetite at lunchtime and only took a bite of a hamburger. Weird stuff.

I used to not give a damn about the way i looked, i just dressed to feel comfortable with myself, i used talc instead of deodorant and never combed my hair, just kept it clean.

Then i finished highschool and i discovered that everyone thought i was some sort of junkie with memory issues, oh god the feels.

Why have i never posted that on the Confession topic? edit: i actually did already, well, i have no more secrets for you people.

Anyway i still had a girlfriend in highschool so the moral of the story is whatever you want to make out of it.
