I need a new part time job. Again. Maybe not in fast food. Working in fast food makes me want to flip tables and rage sometimes.

What about in maybe a regular restaurant as a dishwasher or maybe a secretary at an office building?

I hate being sick. Though my symptoms have started to decline, I still can't do the sh*t I'm good at.

I really want to hit the gym, take a sprint through the woods and climb trees and stuff. Yet if I stress my body too much, I'll just get more ill.

It's been 3 days now. Just been sitting in my couch, playing video games half the day, sweating while I wipe my nose on my bare arm.

Guess I'm just gonna sip on some more nettle tea, fresh from the backyard.

I though secretary jobs were for like older people.

The job must be pretty good if none of them ever want to quit, right?

Nope, That's just another myth such as it's only a woman's job as well.

So.... in American offices you would get in a good deal of trouble for calling that job "secretary" these days. It's an executive or administrative assistant.

So...anything to back this up? Because I've never heard of anyone getting in 'trouble' over that.

At most, there are a handful of extremely thin skinned people who don't like the term or just see it as outdated, and would rather carry a more important sounding title.

Only experience and I don't document that too well.. Secretary is an outdated term that holds a negative connotation when not applied to a cabinet level position, or one of other higher-echelon power.. In every single sensitivity training i've received, mention of this or similar issues wa brought up.

You're right, some people *do* see it as outdated, and it arguably is, but just because a few people don't like the term, doesn't mean you'd get in trouble for saying it. There are postal workers who prefer 'letter carrier' to mailmen/women, but nothing would happen if you called them a mailman except maybe a grumpy response.

There's being sensitive, and there's having to walk on eggshells every time you open your mouth to somebody. Personally, I'll roll the dice.

When I was pushing carts, I preferred being referred to as a 'smooth operator'.

Rolling the dice on something like that in corporate america is about as dumb as it gets. Zero reward, tons of risk. Just act the way you are supposed too... if you work in an environment where this A) wouldn't come up or B) wouldn't matter if it did, whoopie, but understand it's the minority. I'm not defending this level of sensitivity, only pointing out that it exists.

There's a whole foods by my school where I often buy these cheap sodas before school. But they cost exactly 69 cents including tax, and it always feels really weird when they say "that will be sixty-nine cents." Sometimes I wonder if the cashiers think I'm a pervert who buys soda so often just so I can hear them say 69 every time. :( Well, I guess that's the price you gotta pay to get cheap soda

You're thinking way to much into it bud, They probably say it so often it's just automatic you're just another customer who's buying the same soda that 30 other people will be buying as well.

I love TVs that let you rename channels. I renamed BBC 1 THIEVING PRICKS on account of hating being forced to pay for a TV licence or risk a 1k fine. Felt good.

I'm glad Australia got rid of the License fee decades ago.

Ugh, tmobile reps know nothing or are scheming. Trying to get an ipad mini on my dad's account they had a 100 dollar off on any ipad sale and took over a half hour for the rep to tell my dad that the website price is the discounted price. Like tf?

Feeling very proud of my Irish family and friends who voted Yes to same sex marriage; the first country in the world to legalise it by popular vote today. There's nothing like equality, as well as buying The Witcher 3 to spend the weekend on :D

Yeah, I would consult a psychiatrist instead of taking advice from people on the internet.

Whats wrong with taking advice from people on the internet? It just depends on who you're taking it from. And MM was giving fairly decent advice.

Also someone on gtaforums probably doesn't have the money to pay for psychiatric sessions.

It was a good day :) Was in to vote early on Friday and was feeling confident when I noticed the average age of the voters as I was there. Near 70% YES in my county. :inlove:

It's equally amazing that Ireland only de-criminalised homosexuality two or so decades ago. :)

Where are all of the people who don't want to legalize same-sex marriage, anyways? It's like none of them own computers. I've literally only talked to one person online who doesn't support it.

Yeah you pay about £150 per year for watching live programmes and it keeps the BBC ad-free. Presumably the other networks are being subsidised by adverts, so why it is, that you should be fined for watching the channels that the money isn't divested to, confuses me greatly. But then again the much simpler option would be not watching live-TV; you can stream pretty much anything these days, legally, and for free with catch-up services and such-forth.
