I dunno, I'm of a different mind. Going to make your parents happy I think is a selfless act... I still go three times a year for my grandparents despite how much I do not believe in the doctrine. I like knowing about it though, so I can argue with uneducated American Christians and call out the bible or other lessons with great ease as I argue why they are dumb as sh*t. I keep my mouth shut around my grandparents though, still, just as an act of respect.

Yeah, I try to do the same around my grandparents. They know I'm irreligious, but we rarely discuss it. My grandmother sometimes calls me a communist, though (in the early 80s it became fashionable to call every left-winger a communist here in Portugal). I don't bother arguing with her anyway. Eh, politics and religion aside, she's still my grandma and I love her
