f*cking hell, my brother always steals my money, He's 22. I don't even know how much he had stolen because it's already too much, approximately $100 or more's been taken. It's unlikely that he'll pay back.

I wish there was something that shows how much money he took from me.

I feel like I should grow up and face the world in a different way.

I always expect that people will treat me and appreciate me in the same way I treat or appreciate them, and well, sometimes this doesn't happen and I find myself upset with the person for not treating me the way I would to them. Maybe I should stop giving so much of a sh*t for people around me, maybe I shouldn't care so much to let this upset me to this point, maybe I shouldn't be exposing my emotions in a internet forum this way.

Perhaps not, but since I spend half of my time over there as a full-time student and also as a member of the theatre club, and since I spend the other half of my time completing projects and papers and going to work, prospects are quite limited.

Oh, I know! Especially infuriating when you google something and the first answer to an old question is "why don't you google it?" Q&A sites weren't made to be libraries. If you know the answer, answer it, if you don't or you just feel like being a snide jerk today, f*ck off! Every answer site should have that at the top of every page.

You seem to be describing a heteronym, something invented by our very own Fernando Pessoa. Basically, he created several different poets, gave them each a distinct personality, appearance, style and life story. The most famous are Alberto Caeiro (modest, rural man), Ricardo Reis (doctor, classically-inclined) and Álvaro de Campos (naval engineer; futurist).

Pessoa is genius, by the way—I highly recommend his work.

To be honest I'm freaking about not having a job.

 

1) parents are really stingy with money ( probably why they're rich) and probably wouldn't give me allowance anyways

 

2) even if they did give me allowance there's so many things I want to do that I don't think $50 a week could support ( like building a gaming rig, or buying new videogames, or tuning cars, or getting tattoos

No, it was only an example, but what people do when they ask themselves what jesus would do is more similar to what I was describing than DID is. And I know the WWJD folks aren't going off actual jesus, it's an idealized version of him, told through the bible that represents the way christians want to act. I was offering up a similar way of looking at the problem, it's possible to sort of hypnotize yourself into acting a certain way by thinking through a different lens. I am successful. I am successful. I look good today. I look good today. I am strong. I am strong.- sort of thing, but not quite that.

Yeah, dude, I've experimented with that quite a bit. It depends a lot on the social circles you frequent, also. If you're meeting new people, it's interesting to see what type of first impression you make, since it they may perceive you as drastically different from what you know to be your real personality. Really neat to see that I'm not the only one trying this stuff IRL; makes me feel less batsh*t insane

Acting in a different manner, for me atleast, won't deter the obvious vapid pattern of consistent lack of sleep which I think has damaged me past a point where I don't think I could reach what I was a few months ago even through trying to fix things. Tomorrow I'm going to type the whole thing out and find help, because staying couped up and hoping things will blow over won't work this time.

 

 

And the lack of sleep? 1-2am (usually closer to the latter) to 7am for most of the last 3 months, a daily pattern. I don't kid here for a second.. it is what is written.
