She has a house full of kids who either say they don't like the food or eat it and don't appreciate it. I think she just likes to have someone say her food's nice, plus she doesn't want to see plated of food go to waste.

I should stress i don't live on my own so she's not just giving all this food to me specifically, she gives enough food for me and my household, which is even nicer of her haha.

I'm pretty happy right now. I opened Facebook - something I don't usually do - and sent a message to an old friend of mine I didn't meet for years now. She showed me a picture of her holding her 1-month-old child. That just made my day as it has been a very pleasant surprise!

I attended a wonderful lecture about Galician-Portuguese lyric/trovadorismo this morning. The man was so knowledgeable and so obviously in love with the matter at hand that I would have gladly listened to him for hours on end. It rekindled my love for medieval Portuguese literature. Truly fascinating, and I feel really excited about it now!

I should have used a rhetorical question mark. Unfortunately most keyboards don't have those.

But yes, how fine it is to be falsely derided, as an English person, on the validity of my personal expression by someone who would use such a phrase, which in this context is both semantically and lexically inappropriate. Do you think this is a game, boy? I think not.

And the cheek of it, sarcasm is as much our cultural heritage as - erm...Pie?

Today I met up with an old classmate to check out his new pickup truck. We were just kids the last time we met, and now he's a grown up guy driving a big ol' Nissan and talking about drinking, sex, and his job. It's nice to meet up with childhood friends. People don't change, they just grow up.

Can't even sleep since I'm waiting on dinner and clean sheets, I guess posting about it will distract for a little bit. I found dust in my nose and then it started burning, and I started moving my room around earlier and now everything's in the middle of the floor and i need help.

Oh my god. I just reread the first few paragraphs of a fanfiction that I wrote over a year ago and have never cringed more in my life. It commits pretty much every cardinal sin in writing.

 

It is pretty funny to see what why mind was thinking back then, though. How could I have conjured up something so awful?

I don't know about that really. This was written back when people actually tolerated me (on here, at least) so maybe I should go back to writing sh*tty wish-fulfilment fanfictions because it apparently makes me a more likeable person?

 

Actually, I think the above reveals more of a problem with this site than me. Though I was quite a bit less "loud" back in those days... but also less independent and less of my own person. A lot of people prefer that, I don't.

I don't mind you from what I've seen. Fanfiction writing doesn't mean sh*t about your overall personality, and as long as you don't stop changing you'll always gravitate toward a better life attitude.

 

I used to write pokemon parody-fics back in middle school. They were bad for what they were, senseless bs like Ash Ketchum spinning around in circles on a kakuna on his anus, and I'd use the word anus because it was funnier to me, and that was the absolute highlight of the fic. They were meant to make you cringe, but they were just stupid. At least you're enough of a writer to be able to place all your mistakes.

A lot of things are wrong with them. Don't bother with people like that, or anyone that judges you, alienates you or treats you like sh*t for that matter. No point in trying to earn their friendship if it ain't genuine.
