for those that are coming in late, we're discussing the morality of $8 pay for an hours work, i stated that it's bullsh*t and it's glorified slavery i then went onto say you're better of committing crimes against government officials to pay you're bills,

 

now these dudes have me talking about a revolution but f*ck it, that's what we need to shake things up right ? so im all for it

I don't know enough about australia or sweden to comment on any of that. I really doubt the US wouldn't fight back though. Waco, Texas sounds a lot like the kind of gang you're proposing, and they sent proper forces in to negotiate and kill if necessary. Once your neighborhood gang is surrounded and out-gunned, the revolution dies.

My bad, I haven't even voiced an opinion. $8/hour is livable if you're thrifty and willing to give up a lot. You shouldn't have to do this, but it's a reality that people have to live with until we successfully campaign for better pay. Instead of tarnishing the minimum wage movement with violence and giving terrible politicians and lobbyists more ammo against their opposition, why don't you organize the people peacefully? Any solution that doesn't resort to LET'S KILL EVERYONE WHO DISAGREES OR HAS MORE MONEY THAN ME THEN THE WORLD WILL BE A BETTER PLACE LOL is a better solution.

My parents got into a huge fight today. They get into one every few weeks. But I think they've finally hit their limit. They're tired of these fights and just want to end it. My mom brought up the idea of divorcing my dad. Now I just feel so lost and confused.

 

Anyone whose parents have been divorced, give me some info. Why did it happen, what happened after the divorce, who'd you live with, etc.

My brother just came in and asked when i'm going to vote ROFL how ironic ! Seriously though i'm at the point now i'm wondering why i even have too vote ? it doesn't matter who you vote for, their all the same, doesn't matter what party gets in, they all do the same sh*t !!!

My folks divorced when I was around 8. My sister and I might have been the only kids who reacted with "bout f*cking time" when we got the news. My folks never should have been married and it made for a tense household(even if they hid their dislike/distrust/whatever of each other).

 

Divorce can be a good thing for both the parents and the kids.

 

My folks divorce was a bit messy. My dad was selling the house from under our feet. There were all sorts of fights(one even physical). It wasn't pleasant...but it wasn't tense forever. At the end of it all I know my sister and I ended up as better people since we weren't raised in a house of hate and resentment.

 

For the record I lived with my mom. My dad remained a dad except then he started taking me to boob filled R rated movies.

My folks have been in a loveless marriage for years, I've known that for a long time. I think it has something to do with the fact that my father was in love with another woman, but got arranged to marry my mother instead. So throughout his life he's had this bitterness inside him. My mother has worshiped my father for years hoping he'll change, but nothing happened. He still curses at her every day. That's all. She just follows him around blindly, worshiping the ground he walks on and all she gets in return is being called a bitch.

 

But the thing is, I'm 19 and my sister is 21. My parents are well into their 50s. So what good could a divorce do now? Make the next 15 years of their life mildy tolerable? Oh wait, let's not forget all the financial struggles and boring paperwork and all that stuff. I'm guessing divorce is not a magical "sever marriage, have fun" setup. It's a long, grueling, and arduous process that taxes everyone involved.

 

Perhaps it would have been productive to divorce 20 years ago...not now.

 

I guess they grew to tolerate the loveless marriage. For our sake (their children). They swept everything under the rug so that we could grow up like normal kids, going to school, watching tv, all that stuff. And now we're both adults, and all those bi-weekly fights over the course of ~20 years have eventually hit their quota. Now my mom feels she can't take anymore and wants a divorce. It's all so f*cked.

 

 

Sorry if this is a long incoherent post. I might be rambling. But I guess I'm venting. This is a very emotionally taxing period and I have no friends to talk to so I'm hammering away at my keyboard as a form of release.

This had nothing to do with delays, it was about graphics, and you're just dragging it along with whatever point you're trying to make.

 

Obviously the most capable machine will have the best looking visuals, I'm not really sure what the question or point is, are you upset that they haven't released the PC version or something?

So the other day my neighbour gave me a big plate of home made banana bread, today she knocks on my door and gives me a bowl of sticky toffee pudding with cream and ice cream on top. I'm feeling happy.
