How the hell is $8/hr justifiable?

Welcome to the American Dream.

 

If you work 10 hours you get 80 bucks, considering the current MXN to USD ratio thats what I got for working 8 hours everyday 6 days a week during my vacations. I thought it was a good pay.

 

BTW, the minimal salary in Mexico is around 4.31 USD PER DAY, 10 years ago it was like 3.60 (4.48 if you made the conversion to USD at the time).... Point is everything was half as cheap back then, I remember buying Cheetos at the equivalent of 0.32 bucks, now its 0.58.... A kilo of tortillas was worth 0.29 back then, now its 0.81.... A kilo of cow meat (tasajo, one of our classic paper cut steaks) was worth 4.86... Now its 9.07....

I updated my original post, and i guess i dont know what to make out of that. I guess the correct question is how exactly does the Uncle Sam take away all your money, share that with me and ill share more about my country.

 

Did you knew we only pay a 1/7 of the cost of the electricity we use? I payed 64.80USD for the last two months. The water distribution in my state is terrible, some of us pay only when the well requires maintenance, some people pays private companies for transportation, some people drowns in water every rain season (btw the rain season in my ranch is in winter). We also pay a 11% plus tax on all junk food (it reduced junk food consumption around 1%), videogames cost 77.76, the Wii U costs 388.80, the PS4 516.97. I also pay 226.80 every month in rent, ill check how much money have we put in building our house so far and post it later.

No matter what people say, we spend our money on housing accommodations, health care, insurance, child care (for some) and then we hope there is enough to eat with. It's not the Government so much as how expensive it is to live in general.

Got back from the EYP forum. Great experience, though extremely frustrating and laborious. My delegation was slowly dying out, two girls having walked out. Later on I met incredible people and a beautiful Greek girl. The strict work policy made it impossible for us to hang out a lot, but we still bonded. I sort of regret not having spent more time with her, and still wish we could have had a little more leisure. Anyway, it's good to be back home, even though I'm having a hard time adapting again.

So there's this girl who I have a really long, complicated story with. We got really close some months ago, including sex and all that sh*t. Then we separated from eachother once again, no hard feelings this time, but we weren't happy about it. As I've come to realise these months that she's no good to me, I tried to leave her behind again. Deleted her off my social media and everything. I don't want to read about her dramas if she won't allow me to do sh*t about it. All these years I thought she knew how to handle things but she can't do sh*t on her own. She's just one hurt person who only knows to run away from her problems instead of facing them, while thinking that she knows how to do things the right way. I showed her the way to freedom. But now I see which way her life is going and I don't like it, and once she realises how she f*cked up, I just won't be there for her anymore.

 

I've fixed my life, started doing things, started hanging out with lots of old & new friends. Nearly moved on.

 

And a couple days ago, after one or two months of not speaking to eachother, she messages me complaining about me deleting her off social media. I explained why and added her again, but she doesn't speak to me or anything.

for the most part though i was implying he makes his own gang, Considering the state america's in it shouldn't be to hard to find people whiling to join

 

 

 

My only goal would be to rob ( maybe murder) as many government people as i could, What are they going to do send the cops ? the same ones who grew up and most likely live in the same areas we do...... yeah.... good luck with that,

 

even the army, I'd like to think that even soldiers have more sense then to just blindly follow orders, but i could be wrong

 

if the people stand together we could take down the government very easily without me needing to rob anyone but unfortunately most people are too chicken sh*t to stand up for themselves so you need a '' crazy'' like myself to lead the way, if thats what it takes so be it ,

The climate's not right for it. There are too many content people and too much power in the state for a successful revolution. Occupy Wall Street was reasonable and had popular support for a while, but the state turned cops on them and fractured and polluted the movement with irrelevant issues (take that second one with a grain of salt, it's a personal suspicion) and now the movement's dead and hasn't achieved anything of note. A violent uprising wouldn't work, and you'd all be shot or scared back into submission, but if you'd like to be silly and die for idealism and achieve nothing, be your guest.

So let me get this straight the police are going to enter their own neighbourhoods and get into a gang war with their own people because some rich guy hiding behind a fence told them too ? yeah.... that doesn't seem to likely too me...

I think the fact that you need me to revolt with you shows that you are the one with, figuratively 'no balls'.

I protect criminals yet defend the law - I think you need to look up a definition of criminal sometime.

for those that are coming in late, we're discussing the morality of $8 pay for an hours work, i stated that it's bullsh*t and it's glorified slavery i then went onto say you're better of committing crimes against government officials to pay you're bills,
