I just woke up from one of the worst dreams I've ever had. F*cking hell, woke up screaming like a maniac with tears covering my face. Something's wrong with me.

I have horrifying nightmares every single night I go to sleep, probably PTSD induced.

I generally awake screaming and sweating, and/or throwing punches, feeling like I just killed someone, ending up feeling more tired than I was when I went to sleep.

 

Basically what I'm trying to say is, get over it, it was a bad dream, not really a big deal.

Hilarious, but I've still never ever been in the same room as a musical instrument, and I kind of have more important things in my life than taking up music as a hobby - also I never said I intended to do it, simply that that was my response to the film.

Furthermore, if I were to learn an instrument, I would like it to be a Saxophone, and I don't imagine many of those are affordable on a University students' budget.

Well in between my university course, dance classes and a local drama group I think I might struggle to fit in any worthwhile practice for those rent fees.

Yeah some people practice 4 hours every weekend for almost a year only to find they suck no matter what and then their dreams break and they cant blame anyone but themselves, "what did I made wrong?", "why me?", "maybe I just suck".

Undoubtedly but I will reserve my hours of practice for exercising, learning steps and trying to explore my (oddly changing) vocal range - although it would be great to learn to play I think I will focus on just performing arts as that is what I am looking to get into studying next academic year.

This reminds me why I shouldn't have given up my Trumpet and just gone and found a different teacher- pretty much I just got lazy as my teacher got lazy and progressively became disinterested but dragged it on for a couple of years to amount to nothing towards Grade 4. Hopefully one day I'll be able to pick it up again when I have the free time to find some motivation to stick to a regular routine which previously went out of the window.

agreed. i think some people just want to be awesome at something without putting in any effort.. when it becomes apparent that work is involved, that's when the endless excuses start pouring out
