Well, I agree that

Mack's death is awful, but at least Chief escaped at the end. Quite a liberating ending, I'd say.

Still,

McMurphy is the one that showed him everything that could be done, and It's just so sad to see that after all of his efforts he still lost-and Chief lost the man that metaphorically saved his life. It's a very bittersweet ending and those kinds of things really, really get to me. Also, that last scene where he breaks through the window... It was just so beautiful and I broke down at that point. The whole movie was just so impressive and layered.

Yes, I fully agree.

The ending is very, very moving. The scene where Chief euthanizes McMurphy is also incredibly painful, and you can see that in his face. Very powerful movie, and an excellent book as well. Should be compulsory viewing. Have you noticed the twist in the title, by the way?

Twist in the title? Like there's a hidden meaning or are you just referring to how I mispelled it? :p There's no spellcheck on the browser I'm using right now, so typos slip by pretty easily.

Nothing wrong with your spelling, bro. It's something I thought of after watching it: nice personoos don't usually build nests. They drop their eggs in other birds' nests :p

True. Both the book and the film are masterpieces. Essential, like 1984 or The Catcher in the Rye.

I always thought of the ending, in the manner that the chief's fate could be construed as the representation of Murphy's desire for life and energy transcendent of its entrapment in a prison of brick and mortar, whilst also Murphy is free of his conflict with the established order, and the prison that is his own body.

I had an incredibly horrifying experience earlier this morning, of which I haven't an idea how to think of it.. Feeling fearful, and regret.

Technically, they're just having a discussion. A long, drawn-out discussion, but a discussion nonetheless.

To get back on topic: it's one of those lazy Sunday afternoons. I had planned to go to the theatre or maybe have some coffee with a chick, but the weather doesn't exactly permit it, so I'm bored as hell now... I guess I'll just listen to Tom Jobim and think of peaceful things.

It's been almost a week so I guess I didn't get the job I interview for. This will be the second interview I've had where I didn't get offered a job. Oh well I guess I'll just go pick up some beer and fill out more apps today.

I've been having these really bad stomach cramps all weekend and I couldn't sleep at all Friday night because of it, so I ended up falling sound asleep at 3 PM. I woke up at 1 AM last night, and I've been wide awake since. Any minute now I'm going to slowly grow more and more tired. I'm f*cked.
