I've finally come out to my parents.

 

My mom's in denial and my dad doesn't quite believe me.

 

I wasn't expecting this and not... entirely sure what to make of this or how I should be feeling.

 

Awkward.

 

Congratulations. I hope they take it well. Even if they don't though, you know who you are and you don't have to feel ashamed. I'm happy that you built up the courage man. That's awesome.

 

My older sister is a lesbian, and about two years ago she came out to my parents (I was the only person she told prior to that and I held her secret close for 2 years, I saw how much it hurt her to have to conceal the truth, it hurt me too). Anyway, when she finally did come out, my dad said he already knew (I guess he could just tell), and he hugged her. My mom on the other had, being the super religious person she is, initially had a hard time dealing with it. She was in denial for while, but eventually she came to accept it. After that day, my sister finally started to be happy again, and stopped drinking so heavily to cope. Now two years later her girlfriend is like another sister to me and my family. It makes me so happy to see them so happy together, and to see my mom have a much more open mind about the situation.

That's not going to change the fact I don't want to go to Chicago for 2 weeks. And would rather just stay at home but the trip is mandatory for work so whatever.

 

I was just there last summer too so it isn't like I'm visiting a cool new place or something.

I finally got out of the worst depression episode I ever experienced last month and right now I am starting to get my head together. Most of it had to do with living in the past and replaying some horrible stuff that happened to me in high school in my head, and falling for a girl that I never had a chance with that I had a thing for since 2006. If that sounds emo, at least I am not giving you all the unabridged version, which is both annoying and pathetic if you knew about the details. I finally grew a pair and started to make some changes in my life to get out of that hole I dug myself into. Trying to get myself employed after finishing college and getting back into the mode for working out and getting into shape. The only way I will be truly happy, and to attract the ladies is to get myself in shape and build up my character so I seem like I have control of my world.

Anyways .. I'm having GTA V Online withdrawals .. I didn't get to play last night because of the maintenance .. and now I'm at working fidgeting in my seat, wanting to go home to play .. FML.

Yeah it may be even longer than that if not too busy later. I know that feel, four days feels like a month especially when you play it everyday lol. You always got the forums to tie you over until you get back.
