Using mods without the ban hammer threat

So as most of us do I scrolled to the bottom of the user end license agreement and accepted it without reading it at all. I started to download mods like the native trainer and the bodyguard mod and every time i try to access GTA online it'll kick me to desktop. Thankfully i learned about the modding bans for SP and moved the mods out of my GTA5 folder for good.

But, is there a way to play GTA5 SP with mods and Online simultaneously? I quote from IGN

"Even if you don't activate any of the several GTA 5 mods while playing its multiplayer mode, it's possible that simply having one installed while accessing GTA Online counts.

We'd recommend disabling mods completely before attempting to play GTA Online, at least until we have more information".

So is it true? All you need to do is move your mods into a separate location and you will be good to play GTA Online without the threat of being banned? If so please say so and spread the word.

Screw multiplayer; just use your mods and enjoy SP. There's a mod in the works that will allow for users to host private servers anyway, meaning Rockstar's little bans won't even be a problem. Don't give in to this crap; if Rockstar wants to kill their lame MP experience by fighting the modding community, let them. We'll just keep enjoying the game with mods, and have our own multiplayer without their involvement.

I've done this since the beginning. I can't believe people thought going into online having a dll injected in the game is a good idea.

Well. I think that Solo Online Session may be fine. I mean do they really filecheck ? Or do they just rely on denouncement from players ?

I really hope Rockstar changes their attitude towards modders. I get that people ruining Online by using trainers is an issue that needs to be tackled, but that doesn't give R* the right to treat those who bought their game (again) like criminals! Games like Skyrim come with console commands, which would make trainers obsolete. Rockstar decided to restrict certain vehicles to either missions or Online only, so I downloaded a mod that makes those vehicles spawn in Story Mode. Oh yeah, and then there's a mod that makes the stop lights turn on as soon as my car comes to a stop. Big f*ckin' deal, I know.

Welche Mods benützt du?
