Do they not usually release updates on Tuesdays? I know its unlikely but looking for something positive about not being able to play!

Updates usually hit 12h from now, 10am GMT. But downtime around midnight GMT the night before has been seen in the past.

 

But most likely they're just rebooting the SQL server or someone tripped over a patch cable or something similarly unsexy.

Yeah me and my friends got kicked out of Snipers vs Stunters on PS4. Thought it was a host problem.

Been really wonky the last few hours before it went down anyways. Slow joining jobs, slow exiting jobs, can't follow team to next job, giving me a warning message about transferring my characters before topping it all off by playing the gta online intro movie and changing my character to Vin Diesel with breasts.

According to their support page, it states that the servers are up. And it does seem that the servers are fine right now, at least on PS4.

Cinco de Mayo DLC confirmed for tomorrow

 

Mariachi Tornados will be the only NPC vehicles spawning, and white people will be convinced it's the Mexican independence day. Enjoy.

Update tomorrow will consist of nonstop mariachi music wherever you go, the band will not stop following you.

We will also unlock the first of many upcoming expansions to the world of Grand Theft Auto V, travel to south of the border in order to complete some Fast & Furious heists!

They are down for me too, damn and I made 30k and want to call it a day. Oh well...

 

EDIT: Just quit GTA Online however I didn't get the notice message saying that the servers were unavailable however I had the box saying that they were unavailable at the bottom left above the radar.

PS4. I guess the servers are down for just some people. I'm having no problems playing GTA Online, same thing for my friends.

Was in the middle of admiring my Surfer collection and just randomly got kicked out of the session, with the same old Rockstar game services BS.

 

However, my friend from the UK was in the same session. Nothing happened to him. Not even a saving failed message according to him.

Got kicked about 2 hours ago and I got the nw-31295 error that said my wireless signal was too weak - which never happens.

 

I got that error for about 2 hours and then finally rebooted my modem and I've been online ever since. Minnesota here. 25 people in the lobby I'm in right now.

I reckon there may be an update tomorrow, it's been a while and the games stability needs to be sorted out, getting really bad pop in textures and lag. Also the novelty of heists has really worn off now and we could do with some new stuff.

Here;s what I think is going to go down:

 

1: At E3, Rockstar or someone else will announce the Story Mode DLC and announce the release date. For example, November. If the DLC is anything like EFLC, they're gonna want to advertise it.

 

2: Before the Story Mode DLC comes out, Rockstar will release 2 big additional updates for GTA Online. One being the Casino and anything else that's gambling/betting related, and the other being Clubs, like Nightclubs. Also due to the fact that dancing phases have been leaked.

 

3: After the updates have been released, Rockstar will finally release the Story Mode DLC and focus on Story Mode for a while.

 

I think that will be it for the game this year, and Rockstar will announce their next project. Think about it, so far there's been only 1 update this year and that was Heists. Right now there's no sign of any DLC at all. And whenever the servers have issues, that doesn't automatically mean there's going to be a new update.

Oh sh*t...I forgot that E3 was still a thing. Those all sound like reasonable predictions given the context.

I said "someone else" as well, meaning Sony or Microsoft. I didn't say just Rockstar.

I think that there's some sort of surprise update, This could be the reason why the server's are messing up or that there are 1337 h4x0rs f'ing up the servers

All the smaller updates have been surprise updates since modders could leak the details on the DLC when Rockstar added future coding to a past update, but they don't do that anymore which is why there are not many leaks about it.
