Can the Cargobob no longer pick stuff up?

Thought I would pick up my sub with a cargobob heli but pushing the "E" key does not let the cable down... Could only get it to work in contact missions...

 

Did they take this function out of online?

I've hooked up a vehicle early today with the cargobob. It's fine.

It takes time here and there, but it does work.

This is most likely what you experienced.

 

Personally I've also vehicles that are supposedly easy to hook up not working, also once a boat another player was driving kept disconnecting immediately, perhaps a lag issue. Overall R* has nerfed the Cargobob significantly by not allowing it to lift heavy vehicles effectively, makes the thing nearly useless.
