OT: i wouldnt mind a hovercraft, but that would just be a waste, a novelty that everyone will get over within a week. There aint sh*t to do out at sea. Only practical use i can think of in freeroam is escaping bounty hunters, but that will make it vulnurable to superior aircraft.

People on this forum complain we don't NEED this nor that. We don't NEED indoor plumbing, so maybe I should sh*t in a corner? Oh wait you don't WANT something, so it means we don't NEED it.

 

No sh*t no one NEEDS anything, so a WANT turns into a NEED. I guess people here don't UNDERSTAND how things WORK in this world.

 

OT: I said it a million times, I'm all for new content. And yes this would be a welcomed addition to the game. Now the truth is, what would we do with it? The water in this game is useless with nothing to do. Driving this on land would be cool but I just see people dying left and right in this thing. You would become a target in it and an easy one at that.

 

Give us some ocean fun and I'll be all over this.

Its funny that most people will post that dated lame "Rockstar no fun allowed" picture. They give us the tools to make the fun. Now I don't think an amphibious vehicle will make the ocean this awesome place over night. We need other things, yes NEED. It's a video game I play it because I NEED to be entertained. I think we need more military water vehicles, like gunner boats etc. Watch the "this isn't battlefield" assholes comment.

I agree with you, the ocean has so much potential for fun but it's completely wasted at the moment. Here's a few ideas off the top of my head:

 

1. Add in a high priority boat in the ocean that you can steal and deliver for money just like high priority cars.

2. Add in a smuggler's boat that can be attacked and would earn you money by picking up drugs/money after you've successfully killed the enemies & boarded the boat.

3. Add random underwater money packages (similar to what is in SP) that would give players an actual reason to use the new rebreathers.

I love the ideas you have. They are simple but yet would add more life to the ocean. I read an idea someone had, have off shore drilling out there as well. Let us fight to "control" them. A few ramps by the peer only gets you so far. The biggest thing people wanted in a gta game was being able to swim, now give us reasons to go out in the water. And it's all simple sh*t that would get us there.

Would be okay, not something I'd wish for though. I rarely use the boat(s) I have (don't know how many I have), they're useless. Don't go to do water unless a mission or heist requires me to do so.

In Just Cause 2 there is an awesome hovercraft and the monster truck can drive on water it's a great game if it was more detailed in terms of the world and the driving didn't suck it would blow gta away

Don't get me wrong, I liked Just Cause 2 a lot but it's world wasn't more detailed, and the driving was terrible. I'm not at all a fan of the kiddy-mode driving we have in GTA V but Just Cause 2 had it even worse.

Ha yeah it would be nice to see a PT Boat like this one for water Battles

But back on topic, An old Ford GPA would be a great amphibious vehicle
