We need an amphibious vehicle, NOW!

The vortex for sure. Only if it kept the wierd physics it had in SA. If you ramped it off the top of chiliad you would float/glide across a good portion of the map.

something like the lav from battlefield 4 ( like the apc in gtaeflc but floating and with improved armor)

an improvised amphibious car like in top gear

Good point. Most vehicles in the game will aquaplane at the right angles. It is fun to plane and plug around Largo Zancudo. I've had fun cutting out a few bridges crossing that river.

I agree with the wording of the yes answer in the poll: an amphibious vehicle would be welcome.

 

However, I feel that the wording/capitalization/punctuation of the thread title puts far too much urgency on this. It's not that urgent of a need, honestly. It would be nice, sure, but we certainly don't need one now in all caps exclamation mark.

With GTA 5/Online being out for over a year now and we still don't have an amphibious vehicle? Madness! I think that It would be a great addition to GTA 5/Online, the possibility's are endless!

 

So I've come up with some possible ideas ...

 

1. The Otokar Cobra (Basically an amphibious version of the insurgent)

 

 

If new heists come out, it would surrely be superb to have one where we have to use such a vehicle.

I think something like this would get people to spend more time out in the water. You could get away from someone chasing you through the streets by heading out to see. You could get on top of the vehicle and snipe. If it was an apc type vehicle with a mounted weapon you could battle eachother out at sea. Or aircraft or people on shore.

 

It could be cool.

I was just thinking the other day that GTA needs some amphibious vehicles. It'd be a great thing to work into a new heist. There's a few places with ramps pointing straight out to sea; it'd be so cool to launch off them and then just keep driving at sea. There's a bunch of really cool vehicles that could cover every class almost. A lot of the military ones have been covered, so I'll skip those.

"Need" is a strong word but I'd buy one instantly if they added it. It would be really fun, especially around the part of the map with rivers and the Alamo Sea - not to mention hugely entertaining at the LS beach when people come after you. Nothing would be funnier than racing out into the water and making someone drown their car by stopping a second late. Or doing the same by driving off a cliff on the west side highway.

 

It should be a Pegasus vehicle, and it totally should happen. San Andreas had a hovercraft - let's have this in the "next gen San Andreas," R*.

Yes. They should wrap it up in an aquatic update that adds house boats and/or yachts - another reason to go out on the ocean. The ocean is actually really cool and beautiful, there's just nothing to do exploration-wise. But if we had more toys to use out there, we'd be encouraged to visit the seas.
