Its ironic that I see smokes in vehicles when I don't smoke. Don't mind the cola drink in the cup holder though but no fu*king coffee! I think the junk adds character to be honest.

We should be able to customize the stuff in car interiors, just like we should be able to customize the stuff in our apartments.

 

So, for example, we need cell phone holders, and we should be able to put 10 or 20 empty beer bottles or beer cans in the interior to roll around and make clink-clank sounds.

I don't mind the juice cups, coffee cups, air fresh or phone holder (phone holder is my fave). But I hate the ashtray.

 

It looks horrid and in real life I loathe smoking in cars (and I'm a smoker). I hate seeing it in game too. If I find a car with an ashtray, I'll not take it, even if I'd been hunting for days for the car.

 

But that is me. I don't think it shouldn't be there and it is a nice addition - people do have ashtrays in cars (as well as all the other stuff).

I understand why that stuff is there; R*'s attention to detail is unmatched. But one of my Massacros (the only one I didn't transfer) has a cell phone holder and it drives me crazy. I drive in third person view, so I seldom actually see it, but I know it's there...

Picture a car that has a cup in the cup holder. Or an ashtray with cigarettes in it. Yep that's it, all that "junk". people are making it seem like the car is filled it sh*t that would fall out if you opened the door.

We should be able to customize the stuff in car interiors, just like we should be able to customize the stuff in our apartments.

We have different priorities on what NEEDS customizing options.

Not liking mess, isn't OCD. I'd wish many wouldn't throw those letters around as soon as they dislike something. Unless you're a neat freak and disinfect your own property every half hour.

I got angry then i spent lots of money on my Elegy and entered first person to discover that two Burgershot cups covered the center dashboard. I think that is why i don't use this car that much.

@HEX1GON: I know this does not define an OCD. But I know that I have a lighter type of OCD. 10-20 times washing hands in one day can't be normal.

OCD has nothing to do with being a germaphobe. Don't mix the two up. I'm far from a germ freak, but my OCD is a bit ridiculous. If everything isn't organized to my liking, it will drive me crazy. It will be the only thought on my mind until I get my ass up and "fix it". When someone cleans in my house (fold clothes, put away the dishes, etc) I will go back and do it all over again the way I want it. It has to be done "right" or else it will drive me crazy whenever I see it. I can't just ignore it as once it bothers me, it stays on the mind.

 

That is OCD, not being a clean freak. People also have OCD over different things, not just cleaning or organizing.

Haven't upgraded yet, but I think it's going to annoy me when I do.

 

I hate the fact that my apartment has a bong in it, I hate the fact that my character is regularly seen smoking after missions, and I'm probably going to hate the fact that there's an ashtray in my car.

So I guess you're all for killing people, stealing cars and robbing banks in real life.

 

 

why didn't this get more attention?

all these silly people getting upset because some game doesn't exactly match their real life in tiny insignificant details while the whole premise of the game couldn't be further from their every day life to begin with(I'm guessing most gta players aren't career criminals)
