Why People Don't Mind Car Interior Junk

Some people just aren't bothered by such a little thing. I like little details like that, so it's fine in my opinion. I hardly drive in FPV anyway, only a select few cars.

Many of those who do not mind having ashtrays, coffee cups, soda cups, phone docks, etc. in their cars fall into these categories:

 

1. They don't notice and/or care about details that small. Some possible explanations include having tinted windows and driving in 3rd person view.

 

2. They don't mind objects being added to their customized personal vehicles without a choice.

 

3. They don't have OCD.

 

4. They actually like having sh*t in the car like rubbish and ashtrays

 

5. immersion goes to 11

Driving in first person is ridiculous anyway because the character line of sight is akin to someone about 4'8" tall.

 

Eye line is like right at the top of the wheel, its just dumb.

I've sold cars I loved because of insignificant problems that I know shouldn't bother me but do all the same, so I understand the issue with the drinks etc in cars. Fortunately I never really drive in first person in GTA, despite it being the only view I use in racing games, so I can ignore it.

 

I don't see the point in having those additions anyway, surely it's annoyed more people than it's made happy.

It won't bother me. I'll stay in third person always when I transfer my Online character over to Xbox One.

 

And I rarely ever have my character drink. I do it sometimes(Like after a finale) as I like to see him stumble around his apartment before collapsing on the bed, where I turn off my Xbox.

 

I do wish he didn't smoke after nearly EVERY setup. It pisses me off. I hate the smell of that stuff and never jokingly have my characters in anything smoke, at least it's better than him nomming down my snacks like he used to.

I don't mind the coffee cups but the ashtray bugs me a little. Im a smoker but never smoke in my car.

It would be good to see the car wash become usefull. I dont mind a little bit of rubbish in the car but give me the option to head to the carwash and clean it from time to time. If its spotless on the outside it should be spotless on the inside too. Have it build up again over time and then head to the carwash again to clean it out. Not just there all the time.

I don't mind, but I do wish we could customize the interior at LSC. Replace the soda cup with a monkey on the dashboard, shaking his ass whenever I run over someone.

It may sound silly to many but if I'm buying a vehicle I want to be able to customise it exactly how I want within the confines of the game. Many players who don't care about such small details would definitely care on principle when it comes to larger ones e.g. buying a Stallion and having it come in the roof configuration you don't want and you can't change it. (I'm aware you can only buy one type now but still, it's a frustrating issue)

Yes I would like to be able to select the vehicle interior option. When I buy a new vehicle I don't want some other persons crap left in it

If it isn't visible from outside and I play in 3rd person, why would I waste energy going out of my way to make myself possibly care?

 

EDIT: also I am laughing so hard at some of the comments about smoking tobacco/bud from people who are obviously fresh out of the DARE program or stuck in a basement

I have never been in a DARE program because I've never done drugs. I'm an adult, I'm 39 y/o, I have kids, I have a job, I have friends, I have a life. I'm not the "stuck in a basement" stereotype you referred to. I've never done drugs, never really wanted to, but admit I'm mildly curious what some of the effects feel like. I occasionally drink alcoholic beverages; not on a regular basis, though on rare occasion (certain social situations) I can drink quite a lot. But I don't ever feel a need to get drunk, and I don't do that very often.

 

My point: just because I'm not exactly like you, doesn't mean I'm less than you. I'm a good, fairly well-.adjusted person. I have my problems just like anybody else. But just because I don't do drugs doesn't mean I'm less of a person than you. So shove your condescending laughter.

It doesn't matter to me if you are straight edge or you shoot heroin multiple times a day. I just find it funny when people refer to weed as smoking dope. Only old people or cops call it dope. Weed isn't dope. Heroin is dope.

 

I don't get why people are giving other people sh*t for either doing or not doing drugs. Who the f*ck cares. Smoking, drinking, or doing lines of blow doesn't make you cool and this is coming from somebody who has smoked bud for over 20 years.

 

The people who think people who do drugs are nothing but a bunch of lazy slackers are idiots. I own a successful business and still smoke weed on a daily basis.
