That's an interesting concept actually. Can you make a spotlight that will follow crosshair? That could be awesome.

I wonder if this has potential? Like allowing one spotlight around the player, with options to adjust brightness level or how large the light circle / spread is, or to just illuminate the character and nothing else. Maybe single coloring the lights like in the ufo video e..g red spotlight.

 

Would help video editors when doing shots at night with little light sources in the location.

 

I think you should stick with this and just tailor what you have done already imo.

Put this in EthansLight.ini for one big violet light, if you look in EthansLight.ini it has a format for changing the lights.

What's with all these negative feedback anyway? I think it's a nice looking feature for the Director's Mode for example, with the alien skin, or maybe to make a scene where the character is having a hallucination, I don't know.

It would be nice if the mod would spawn actual UFOs, not just lights. Like an UFO airstrike that you can trigger with your phone.

Is there a format to editing the ini e.g what values correspond to what parameters for each light?

 

I wanted to see if it possible to change rgb of each light to a white light, take down brightness, bloom and spread if possible, and maybe disable a few lights too. Trying to go for a subtle effect.

 

Can you make edits to the .ini while game is in play and have it reload mod / update these changes.

 

A menu would be more than welcome but not sure if it is still in development? Really want to try this with player invisibilty.

Up to 32 custom lights around the player, look in EthansLight.ini for the settings. Use the END key or whatever you choose to enable/disable/reload the lights in-game.

 

He is not developing it anymore i don't think. As a proof of concept its amazing (to me). i'll explain.

 

It looks ugly in that video, BUT i imagine its potential - a menu option called Lights where there are simply 32 lights listed. You could enable or disable each light independantly.

 

For each light, you can set any of its availble native parameters in menu - rgb colour, brightness / exposure, radius / spread if available.

 

Why this mod is potentialy very interesting is that if this could be implemnted to allow you to produce more subtle results (not like that video) but white light, brightness reduced abit and bloom taken down, and you set your player as invisible (which works in editor too), you have a movable, easily controlled light source which can be used by video editors to light night scenes.

 

You could literally just stand near to your actor peds / target and they would be lit nicely. Really would compliment the Actor Manager Mod

 

If all enabled light's RGB and brightness could be automated to change every x seconds, you would have disco / strobe / club lights

 

Ethan has shared the source code for it on the gta5 mods page. Not sure if its open source or not

 

I imagine this concept is much simpler than spawning light objects around the map, and perhaps will give a better result.

i have problem ,when i want edit my clip on rs editor, lights dont show up - is any solution ? (sorry for my english)
