stretchx9
Last night while playing OL for the first time, I noticed my car(s) failed to avoid obstacles and could not make sudden turns (like trying to roller skate on ice) while being chased by police, at one time, I hit a pedestrian and my speeding car did a 180 which makes it easier for the PD to catch up with me. When playing SP this never happens. Server lag? Difficulty scaling? Also noticed that during police chases NPC's cars swerve at me and get in my way more often than when not being chased. Thought I would be rid of this BULL**** when I stopped playing FC4. Edited May 4, 2015 by stretchx9 DentureDynamite
DrDetroit
I noticed this too last night while online. I just chalked it up to lag, although I didn't notice any...smooth as silk and I was one of two people on the entire map.
stretchx9
Frame rates were good last night. Yes, the game was running really smooth. Running from cops was a CF! Edited May 4, 2015 by stretchx9
Le Dude
Could be it changes to better accommodate driving through alleyways and such? Though I doubt it, it's probably just panic. It's one thing to dodge a traffic car and another to dodge an MLG cop in a roadblock that could easily one-hit your a** when driving by him at full speed. Spider-Vice
The AI does change if you have cops though so I wouldn't be too surprised. Even though even without cops the AI tries to kill you at all times too. Thought that was just me. I've been trying to take a picture of my car with Snapmatic near Sandy Shores, and every time I got out of the car to try and take the picture I'd get run over. Then when I tried to move the car, this NPC in a SUV crashed into me, got out of the SUV, dragged me out of my car and started kicking me like I was a bad potatoe. I was in Passive Mode. Naw, I go by this old racing saying: What's behind me.... is no longer in front. . Freaking OL game will try to make you sweat more in a police chase. Went back to SP and it doesn't happen there. And that's after I tossed down a couple of Mountain Dews. Edited May 4, 2015 by stretchx9
DentureDynamite
I honestly wouldn't be surprised if R* has implemented some sort of "tweaks" that kick in when you get a wanted level. I've often wondered about it when being chased, and though it was just my imagination, but...wouldn't put it past them at all. Deceitful-Fox
No, there are no changes to the physics. If there were, there would be multiple profiles or modifiers in handling.meta. It's all in your head, guys. Le Dude
