imakuni1995
So, whenever I start the game, the FPS seem to be locked at 30. What I do every time is I go to Vsync, turn it off and back on again, which makes the game run at a solid 60 fps. But I am kinda getting tired of going through that process every single time I restart the game. Is there a way to get rif of this issue once and for all? RedIndianRobin
The game is locked to 30 only on the menus. Have you actually tried loading the game up?

jackdololtons
I have same problem. And also, anisotropic filtering setting doesn't work, seems like set lower than 16x, have to turn it off and on again to achieve true 16x anisotropic.

ON limits your frame-rate to 60 FPS and HALF to 30 FPS. Are you saying you get 30 FPS when it's set to ON? For me it was set to HALF by default, and it kept resetting every time I'd start the game. But that was before the first patch... Try disabling it in-game and enabling V-Sync from your driver Control Panel. Spider-Vice
VSync is broken since day one. I always, ALWAYS have to re-set it in the options, including going On-Off-On again. I use an unsupported GPU and I seem to have the least graphics-related issues with this game... hmm. Scratch that. Le Dude
An unsupported GPU? Nevermind, I thought a GTX 660 Ti was the minimum requirement, not recommended. But either way I have a pretty crappy GPU, a GTX 550 Ti. Spider-Vice
Spider-Vice
The Vsync issue actually seems to be more common on AMD cards rather than Nvidia cards in fact. Le Dude
The Vsync issue actually seems to be more common on AMD cards rather than Nvidia cards in fact. Issues seem to be more common on AMD cards in general, and I don't mean just GTA V. I don't know whether it's the fact that Nvidia buys everyone off or whether AMD cards are really that bad. I think I'm starting to get why everybody was complaining about the anti-aliasing. My GPU only supports FXAA and MSAA (and SMAA I think?). The first of which doesn't seem to do anything, and the later, well: So much for my $100.000 license plate. No it doesn't say "BURR170". Looks like freaking Cyrillic. Marty892
just alt-tab or alt-enter twice while in game, vsync will work properly then thats faster and easier than changing settings every time
