Does anyone actually own a rancher? It was popular for a short while as you could take more than 4 people on board but it's been a very long time since I've seen one.

 

My theory on these elimination games is that people add to the popular cars and take away from the lesser scoring cars because it's what most people are doing.

I feel that they derail these games as well, but I can't help but feel that they're inevitable. Like you keep saying, people have different tastes in vehicles, and I feel these competitions bring out the inner die hard vehicle fan in all of us. Of course we want our favorite vehicle to win, but when it doesn't many people's first instinct is to ask questions.

 

It's like playoffs in sports. Everyone wants their favorite team to win. But if they get eliminated, fans love to cry "How did we lose?" or "How is Team X still alive"?. Will it change anything? No. But it's just one of those things that naturally happens.
