Is it me or is EVERY free aim lobby empty? Max amount of players I've found over the last week was 6. Is there no skill out there anymore to play free aim? I just don't get it.

Free Aim freeroam is always nearly full for me, but Heists/Races/Deathmatches/Missions etc. are empty.

I wish I could find a full lobby. I have no luck with lobbies, races, missions, etc. the lobbies is what kills me. I don't care too much for anything else, I just don't understand why I can't find a lobby. I'm mostly by myself or with 2 to 3 other people. My NAT type is open, so I don't really see what any other problem could be.

It's empty for me as well, 5-7 seems to be max. Decided to switch to auto aim a few weeks ago for lobbies while I still play free aim contact missions.

There's more mayhem because it's so easy. Kids who never played before can hold down two triggers. I stopped playing GTA about a month ago when I noticed everyone was on auto aim and none of free aim. Maybe one day they'll all move to free aim. Lol.

Free Aim pvp, is boring, it's too easy to evade players. No one dies in Free Aim that's why there's no mayhem

 

I have noticed the drop off as I still mostly do missions in Free Aim

AA is f*cking dull. Respawn / kill / repeat. Can't drive by due to unrealistic lock-on. Stupid spawn points. Locking onto cops.

 

Basically, if you play AA, you are admitting that you are incompetent and ham-fisted And terrified of a challenge. Bonus points: this attitude may be reflected IRL. Get out of your pyjamas and get your life sorted, hippy!

 

Let all the AA fundamentalist excuses begin below:

Are you in any free aim only crews? If not join a few and try them out. Then ask on sc for invites or you can join crew members' sessions from the menu and see if they are busy.

My point exactly. There's just no skill at all in AA. People don't like free aim because it's much easier to just hold a trigger and spam an AR. AA is just about the most boring mode and very unrealistic. I wish Rockstar would take out AA but I know it's never going to happen. I do know I'm done playing GTA if everyone is just going to be in AA.

I've tried just about everything. I can never find a full game in free aim. Max amount is about 5. On the other hand, every auto aim game is 29 to 30 people. Literally every game. I'm sure it's just nobody plays free aim and all play auto.

I wish we could pick what lobby we want to go in. :-\

Same here. I'm usually not very patient though lol. & yeah. I wish there was a setting in the game to where you could choose how many players minimum you want in the game before you load into one. Maybe Rockstar will get to it one year lol.

For me 4 out of 5 lobbies are low population. The freeaim community is small so you'll run into the crews and players that are very active frequently.

 

Personally I'd prefer a small freeaim lobby over a large autoaim. Quality over quantity. Seems freeaimers are a dying breed

Been like this since Heists. Its pretty difficult to find people doing them in FA so most have gone back to AA to finish em up, myself included. I lucked out by getting invited to the P.S finale and finding that i unlocked the Savage even when we failed the getaway. Switched back and have been placed into empty or low count lobbies since but switching sessions usually puts me in a more populated lobby.

Depends on your system/time of day. People need to stop with these 'out-yo-ass' statistics. "85% of people, blah, blah, blah." Go away. Stupid people spreading misinformation leads to more stupid people.

 

You also have to take into account all the connection issues. Sometimes if I try to jump straight into a FA lobby it spawns me in one by myself, just press start and select find new session. Also, the bug where everybody disconnects from their public lobby into a vacant one.

 

It also could be that when you are attempting to join a session, maybe the cloud puts you in a queue, and if it fills before you can connect it drops you into the next empty lobby.

Anyone who thinks there are currently less than 30 people in the whole world playing GTA Online and using free aim, is a dunce.

 

I spent about 3 hours jumping from session to session the other day and the most people I saw in one session was 4, including myself. I went back to auto aim and was back to the usual 25+.

 

It never used to be like that. I played free aim on PS3 and it went from full sessions to no-one, overnight. It never got better so I went back to auto aim.

 

I'd like to play free aim, but whatever. I don't really care. It's just a game.

I often get put in a hosts full freeroam after completing a mission or heist that I joined randomly. I find if I just join online there's rarely more than 10 players so when I feel like freeroaming in a full server I tend to just join someones mission / heist then it seems to match me with more players after.

 

Matchmaking is problematic in GTAO... that's for sure.

Insurgents have ruined free aim lobbies, there impossible to shoot people out off free aiming, especially if the person is driving fast or throwing explosives, rockstar go and fk sh*t up adding retarded NOOB vehicles... BA DUM TISHHH
