Today I reached 1st position in the world in the rankings of the Deathmatch "Pavillion" (its located in Alta) on PS4. I was suprised that there was no reward for reaching this position baring in mind that if you set a World Record in a race you do. In this case, you would unlock a tattoo and recieve 5000RP. What do you guys think, should Rockstar add an award for this? Or even better, more awards in general? :)

I was never fan of DM, to me it's like COD (which I hate :D)

Never played COD but i hate when playing a DM and my screen starts glowing a fuzzy green and all types of sh*t.

I like that Spanish influenced block, made a deathmatch there myself. As for world record bonuses surely they'd be too easy to boost in a deathmatch?

-15 round! Now that is impressive! :D Congrats to your friend! I don't play that much golf, I'll be Lucky to get a -5 round again, haha! I've been playing a lot of tennis recently though. Last time I looked I was 60 something place in the global rankings :)

Don't give up, if he wouldn't have screwed up on Hole 1 and missed a few very close shots he would have easily beat his world record LOL.

I believe it is based on the win/loss ratio and kill/death ratio during the Deathmatch.

Wow, that golf is impressive! We do a lot of it lately with the crew, learned a few things thanks to the video. But is there any trick to get 1 or 2 wind? We always get at least 4's....

 

And OP, good thing on your DM record, I know how it feels! I lost a world record on Rodeo loop, but I'm still in the top 5 for multiple settings.

Kind of like a dunce cap for winners so while competing against the best, the rest of the players see who the top dog is to be able to know you're competing with the top player in that mode / map etc.

 

Normally I would say being at the top of the leaderboard is its own reward but i'd love to see some sort of trophy belt or maybe a special R* sponsored polo shirt ...since this thread is talking golf. Something we can identify the leaderboard leaders with.

The only issue is that Rockstar would need to do a better job of monitoring cheaters on the leaderboards (have you ever taken a look at some of the top scores on races or missions? I agree, perhaps a star next to players names who are at the top of the ranks. Or maybe the name highlighted in yellow.

Don't worry, glad you mentioned Golf :) Yeah, some of the leaderboards in some missions and races are literally impossible to beat because of cheaters. Its crazy that Rockstar hasn't removed them. I mean come on, how on Earth can someone do a 7 mile point to point race in under a minute...? Edited by REXX93
