You character should still be on 360, just as you left him.

thats good, because i have sold my 360 and am getting a ps4 very soon, at least i will be able to continue

Actually you can't. At least that's what the game and Rockstar's instructions say. The game and the manual here state very clearly that you can transfer only one set of characters and only one time.

You can transfer from 360/ps3 to x1/ps4 and then another time from x1/ps4 to pc.

 

Or directly from 360/ps3 to pc.

 

Dont think theres any other option
