Yet again another flaw in the game. Imo, after reaching a certain level, you should be able to mod/keep/sell ANY car class in the game, including supers. Yay or nay?

No. Then what am I supposed to make money for?

Btw, this is like a super old topic covered many times. People are going to say that a lot.

No. If you steal it you should be able to do what you want with it.

Agreed... Its the golden rule of stealing anything. Especially in grand theft auto. In every GTA game every made, this message only appears in GTA O.

But we all know the reason is cash cards. Nothing more then that really.

But then you wouldn't have to spend $200-500k to buy one. I'd say at the very least you should be able to sell it for a fraction of its online price.

In SP, there's no bills. What you have is only weekly income.

In SP, there's no MMI. Your original vehicles will return. Your stolen ones will be destroyed. Not sure about purchased ones.

In SP, there's no classification between high-end and low-end. Everything is keep-able and modifiedable.

From these 3 points, I think you already know what's up with Online.

You should be able to bribe the LS customs guy, for a high price, like half the car's value, and then just have high end cars only spawn very rarely in freemode. Something like that, anyway.

I've lost purchased ones in SP.

If we are able to steal, mod and keep high priced vehicles then why isn't there a mechanic in the game where our vehicles are subject to theft by others.

There in lies the reason.

All I hear is people whining about cash cards.

Here is the deal. You can play this game for free every single day of your life and for as long as you want. You don't ever have to buy a single cash card, EVER.

And yet still you all complain. Like whiny little girls who are given a great toy at christmas and complain that it's the wrong colour.

Lel at the people saying no.

I though this was Grand Theft Auto.

Not only you have to buy cars, but if you steal one 7/10 times you get a bounty. It's like they want us to do the opposite of the game's title.

Stealing and joyriding in a car is LITERALLY the meaning of the title of this game. What you're looking for is Grand Theft Steal everything and keep it to myself, obviously YOU are playing the wrong game. 😐🔫

Finding a Voltic or Infernus on the street is like finding money. You steal it and start driving and your adrenaline pumps, cuz they are cool cars!

But then you go to your garage to store it or take it to LSC and suddenly, your bouncy house deflates with the disillusion that, by definition, the name of the game has been very misleading and you now have to dump the fancy set of wheels and steal one of the two dozen Futo's that are currently spawning in droves.

So, yeah, I agree with you OP. Always felt this way.

Im not whinning or complaining about anything... Im telling you HOW IT IS.

And the reason we can`t store any car we want is CASH CARDS. Nothing more, nothing less. Sure you can still earn it, but R* is banking on payers who buy cash cards instead. And guess what... they do.

You could keep your stolen cars since GTA III. Just because it's Online it shouldn't be any different.

Keep trying, bruh.

With a comment like that..I take it GTA online is the 1st Grand Theft Auto game you ever played.

Because if you think stealing cars and keeping them is not what GTA was all about. You have some serious brain damage

To be honest, now with all the updates, I don't see the big deal.

The most expensive cars do not spawn Online. A few of the better racers do, like the Pigalle, or Huntley, but they are rare spawns.

It's not like you see peds driving Zentornos.

Stealing cars should be a skill, represented by a stat like strength or lung capacity. The more you do it, the better you get at it.

As a new player, with no car stealing skill, you'd only be able to steal low-end cars, and you'd be slow at it. The more you do it, the better you get, your skill level rises, which means both you get faster at it, and can start stealing higher levels of cars (cars with more value).

When you max out the skill, you can steal (and keep) any car in the game.

To make it more interesting, there should be only one place on the map where you can take the very high-value cars. Not part of LSC, but an independent chop shop. You would also need to earn the trust of this place to take them high-value cars, because no chop shop is going to let a random person bring them a high-value car. You earn trust with the place by bringing them lower-value cars first.

Additionally, the very high-value cars should be even more rare on the streets than they are now. Also, stealing one should give you an immediate three-star wanted level.

This is just a rough idea, and is just my own opinion. I have no doubt that Rockstar will never do this, we all know they think there vision for the game is perfect and what the players think is crap. I'm sure some of you will also think this is a stupid idea, and that's fine. We're not all the same.

Ultimately, I think it should be possible to steal a super car and be able to keep it...but I don't think it should be as easy or simple as stealing and keeping a Dominator.

I agree but you should need to bribe lsc a very large amount to remove the tracker or every lvl 1 and their dog would have all the supers.

maby 60 % of the vehicle cost that way you couldn't profit from selling it.

because rockstar wouldn't let that happen

cashcards

Here's what I'd love to see happen with high end cars you see on the street:

Make ANY car that you find on the street in pub lobbies only be able to be stolen. You'd instantly get a wanted level (3 stars maybe?) due to the car's tracker and you'd have a reward/bounty placed on you by the owner for returning the stolen car. Once you have the car, you'd have to drive across town to Lester's warehouse and pay him a fee to reprogram/remove the tracker for you. After successfully doing this, then you would be able to either keep the car or sell it at LSC. I think this would be fair because in my opinion you would have earned the car after all that plus it would make free roam a lot more interesting. :colgate:

The game is as it is-- you are free to not play it---

I think this is the thread you are looking for... http://gtaforums.com/topic/681131-gtao-the-official-btch-moan-topic/

as this one will go no where.... Sorry... LOCK

Ok-- someone complained about this being locked so .... Unlocked-- lets see what happens.... to me it just looks like most people are complaining about the existence of cash cards....

Here is the complaint (I will not reveal who)

I protest the locking of this thread.
Partly because it was more than just bitching and moaning. It had turned into an actual discussion, with people giving ideas.
I mainly protest because of the comment in the lock message "this is going to go nowhere". This is a speculation about the future that frankly is not backed up by the thread so far. There was no flaming, no butthurt, no reason so far to suspect the thread would turn sour. In fact, this was actually one of the better threads here, an actual DISCUSSION. Why you would want to cut off a decent DISCUSSION on a DISCUSSION board is beyond me, and I'm an experienced discussion board admin.

I personally think that high-end vehicles that actually spawn in traffic online should be storeable, such as the Super Diamond and Infernus. To combat this though, make their spawns exceedingly rare.
