AlexTSK
Hello there gtaforumers! I'm going to be using this place to show some work in progress and hopefully find someone who can help me get these cars into any of the games as I have pretty much zero knowledge of what to do after I've completed a model Fist up, the Vapid Shifter Custom (I'm aware it's now called the slamvan in GTAV but when I made the first iteration of a civilian version of the tow truck, it wasn't in the game yet) So here's the first WIP Edited May 4, 2015 by Bloodstability Jeansowaty, Voit Turyv and Alvarez
Alvarez
Have you done the cockpit for it, too? Also, you might want to separate the mesh in groups similar to this and parent the moving parts to empties. http://tf3dm.com/3d-model/vapid-taxi-11985.html Somehow i have the suspicion you're using Blender. Not yet, the whole car is still work in progress. The parenting and stuff will come later when it's actually completed. What makes you think I'm using Blender? and does it matter? (I'm not using blender ) Edited May 3, 2015 by Bloodstability

zepman79
What software is being used now for modeling? I have access to pretty much anything at my school, such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD. I believe the last time I was doing a custom car for GTA III I was using ZModeler. I'd like to get back into custom cars, but I'm not sure which software will be the best for GTA V. AlexTSK
now as in 'in this day and age' or what I'm personally using? I'm using maya but you can pretty much use anything you like as they are mostly all the same, if you know how to model you can apply it in any software package
