EDIT: just so you are all aware, creating this type of mod is very hard especially when there's no native functions that I can use to achieve the true purpose of the mod, so when you see some unusual things you will just have to learn to live with it until some one with much more knowledge than me decides to release a version of his own. Thank you.
This mod allows you to drive all vehicles in manual transmission, meaning you have to switch gears while driving.
I made this mod because I personally drive stick shift and I love it, I made it really quickly and it may have a few bugs, so if you find any please report them back to me. This mod is not intended for high speeds, the main use of this mod is for fun "realistic" driving.

This mod is completely configurable, you can change any of the keys to whatever you want. If you don't know which decimal belongs to which key on your keyboard, you may reference this website: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/AS2LCR/Flash_10.0/help.html?content=00000520.html

To enable/disable press either the "Right Arrow" on your keyboard or "DPAD Right" on your gamepad.

To switch gears simply hold down the clutch and choose which gear you want, note you will need the correct amount of engine rev to achieve higher gears.

Uh...downshift should be there...Its very important for manual transmission.

I haven't yet test this..but good idea.

Thanks for your amazing work, I'll record a video too and I want to request something, could you fix gear issues, i mean it should car to car for example now Zentorno has 4 gears, that should change. And I should say I'm not complaining, I just wanted to point it out.

 

I just realized, when you disable the mod, it just say "disabled" but it does not actually.

Few things that users with Racing wheels are going to ask for. One of them being the ability to bind different gears to different buttons.

Example

1st - Num1

2nd - Num2

3rd - Num3

4th - Num 4

etc.

 

Should make it a configuration option to enable gear control in this manner.

As for your gear suggestion, that could take ages for me so what I could do is add different gear configuration like if you press "1" it will give you 4 gears, "2" will give you 5, and "3" will give you 6. How does this sound?

Message me about source, I may or may not be willing to give it out right now but for sure in the near future. Anyways, I just use bools for the gears and when im on a certain gear I don't let my vehicle get past a certain speed using ENTITY::SET_ENTITY_MAX_SPEED

Also, is it possible to have reverse as a separate gear? Say we want to reverse, we press R for example and the reverse lights will come on and we press W to reverse. That way when the car is stationary the brakes come on when S is held down.

 

And can you make L CTRL as downshift? Or maybe have an .ini file so we can change it?

That sounds appropriate you can do that and also I have an idea, you can try to make it for different classes for example sport cars, muscle cars and etc, I think

It's nice and everything, really, but all it seems to do is limit the max RPM of the car in a gear, and when you change the gear it simply unlocks it. Now, it's a beta/alpha whatever, you know what you want to do with it, but a supercar in 1st gear would be redlining like mad, not gently cruising at 3000ish RPM. That's my only complaint, don't take it too seriosly
