Antigenetic Posted May 3, 2015 Share Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) Something that has irked me for a good while in this game is that you can dispose of any and all weapons besides the default pistol that Lamar gives you at the beginning of GTAO. Surely at level 120+ you're never going to be in a position where you would be without weapons, so you should be able to drop an obsolete weapon such as the starting pistol. Anyway, I've tried everything to get rid of this gun; does anyone know of any method or bug that allows this gun to be dropped for good? Cheers for any assistance. EDIT: I meant to post this in the Gameplay section; this site can be a bit twitchy on a mobile. FrugalDangerMan Posted May 3, 2015 Share Posted May 3, 2015 (edited) Honestly, it doesn't matter if you throw it away, as soon as you walk over any weapon you don't have in your inventory, you pick it up and NPC's drop those like hot potatoes in most Free roam/mission shootouts. I had this issue with the Uzi/SMG. I never wanted to use it because the AP Pistol is more accurate and deals more damage in a drive-by situation. Problem was, every time I dropped it, it would drop all the ammo I bought for it ($8,000 give or take) and then I would pick up another one when I walked over it during a mission, next mission I would "buy all ammo" and bam, spend another 8K on ammo. I basically have to carry one all the time because I don't want to lose money on every mission. This also means I have to scroll through multiple weapons to get the one I prefer (AP) every time I sit in a car because of course, you can't choose your default in-vehicle weapon either. Side rant, the game also seems to default to your most useless weapon in every category upon log in and my default starting weapon when I get into free roam is the Flare gun....... On an almost-related topic, do not expend all of your firework launcher ammo. I just did, and now it's deemed lost forever and I can't buy it again because it's a holiday-limited item. I was able to buy ammo for it whenever the mood striked, but now that it's completely empty, it disintegrates? This f*cking game sometimes..
