And yeah, "mechanic" implies formal training you're far too young to actually have* *maybe* its a company one of his relatives own and they allow him on the site to do menial things. But at the age 15, there is no legit job he could actually do there. Unless they payed him to take bolts out of decommissioned trucks but with all of the child labor laws in place I highly doubt that too. Or maybe hes right and im wrong and just an asshole Not owned by a family member. I'm currently not getting payed either, but they are giving me volunteer hours.
