DS12
Guys, so I am finally going to get an i7 4790 (non k). Can somebody please list a few mobos which would go with it (I guess it has a 1150 type socket). I need USB 3.0 (back as well as front), min. 6 channel audio and would be adding gtx 970 and maybe 2 fans. If possible, can the mobo come under $200? And also wat power PSU will I require? Red Hat
There are tons of motherboards for your needs. Even the cheap Asus B85M-G has everything you need. You may choose the motherboard you like from here. And, if I were you I'd probably get a motherboard from Asus or Gigabyte. Just my opinion. I'd only pick up 8 chipset boards if it allows you to update the BIOS without a CPU, otherwise I'd recommend a 9 series chipset board for the OP as 8 chipset boards usually need a BIOS update to use Haswell refresh. yoječ
Most boards received "Haswell Refresh-ready" BIOS update back in late 2013 / early 2014 (long before HR was even released). I don't think any board available in stores today needs any updates.
