Stupid what? To downgrade and play SP with mods? Or because you want to cheat online?

So let me get this straight... if someone makes a new bike mod or something they can`t use it now because they could use it to cheat in Online somehow? They should have released GTA V and Online as separate entities and disabled mods for the Online only, none of this would matter.

I voted yes, but why not have an option for yes and mods in multiplayer? There are a tone of amazing mods that are for multiplayer and will make GTA O so much more fun. If R* let people mods their games most of the "Modder/Hacker/Glitchers" will move on to other mods. Such as LSPDFR, Zombie mods (When they are released) as well as all the other kinds of modding that is not harmful. The same thing happened when ArmA 3 and ArmaA 2 and GTA IV was launched. The modding community immediately made overpowered weapons/Vehicles/god mode/etc. mods for the players to use, and they were ABUSED for a while until better mods came out. Same thing is going to happen for GTA:O. Once people finally start getting full content mods youwill see less of the over powered abusive modders... Also I want to point out that most people on GTA 4 run trainers even if they didnt use them for god mode because they are handy as f*ck when cruising around town with buddys just goofing around.

I also think R* should add in a server browser. Than we could really get some cool mods things like Arma2/3 Wasteland/Roleplay (Police/Firefighters/Etc.) servers and we could find servers for things like Car Meets or impromptu races or even hunting servers (If madders add in hunting to Online which im sure they will.)

Yes, but then the game would take up 120Gb of HDD space. Would it be socially acceptable for a game to take up so much space?

As it currently stands, I'm glad Rockstar patched out mod compatability and I hope they continue to do so. Script kiddies ruined GTA IV and they will ruin GTA Online given the chance. You can't have mods available for singleplayer without douchebags using them in multiplayer so better they don't exist at all. Even if singleplayer didn't exist, you'd still get douchebags creating trainers for Online and the same people would be here complaining about R* patching them.

Not on my machine, because I would have only bought the GTA V SP game. I wouldn't bother with online.

Playing SP with mods is the only reason I bought the game for PC, in addition to the console version I bought. I have already played through the story 3 times on the console anyway.

Also not being allowed to mod the console versions didn't stop hackers in console GTA:O did it?

Mods are not running as scripthook cannot identify the game version .

We cannot really say that Rockstar has patched out modding.

I agree. SP mods are awesome, and they do a great deal to extend the life of a game.

However, the same can be said for the online element of any game...and if it ends up with a case of choosing, ie - if the two can't be seperated and having SP mods means an open door for cheaters and hackers in GTAO, I'll take a healthy and hacker-free online every time. And I wouldn't blame R* for that, only the scumbags who wanna cheat and ruin it for the genuine players.

...if somewhere down the line the modding community developed a completely seperate online iteration for GTAV world. Something that worked well, was feature rich and promoted the development of a good sized player base but meant that you couldn't connect to R*/playGTAO/SP because of the restrictions... i'd still definitely look into it and consider it as an option, however.

Are people actually expecting that mods are allowed on GTA V online?

Seeing as players are already spamming exploit jobs (win $$$! in which the host gets the only tank for example).

You cannot.. and this will never change.. trust people.

Single Player.. sure.. if it only effects your game.. sure.. use that mod or trainer.

Mods to GTA V online should be heavily moderated and maybe they haven't included this in their budget; people tend to exploit, whenever they can.

I hope that they'll do something similar to Space Engineers (keen software house).. When a certain mod becomes popular (and it's well developed), they integrate it in a following update into the core.

If the author actually approved this.

They should make mod friendly lobby, in these games you shouldn't be able to register any stats, not gaining any exp, no money, it would only be for some mod 'fun', with a big warning of course about how unstable the game can be with mods etc...

There is no doubt mods are fun, the problem is mods to cheat and abuse other players who don't play with mods (nor want to play with mods at least on this moment)

they only did that with the larger cockpit.. the angle blocks are nothing like the uncle ste ones.

and i dont see R* do that in anyway. at least not for V. maybe if someone comes up with a really cool mod, they wil put it in VI. just like they did with Firstperson view

Mods should be allowed in single player, but if people start to use mods in Online (which they do, apparently), then I can understand why R* starts to ban certain mods. I'm sure people will get them working again anyways.

Actually the issue is that if you allow mods in single player then the hackers can hook those mods into GTAO

I want mods as much as anyone else.... but not if it means the game gets ruined by trolls who can follow a youtube instruction video and end up invinsable and can teleport... along with blow everyone up etc....

These children need their computer privileges removed for a very long time.

Online has long loading times, constant disconnections, and now it means no mods for single player - lol why did we even buy this game. Oh well, Witcher 3 in a couple of weeks.

Like I've said before. I didn't spend thousands of hours earning my things on GTA Online for it to be ruined by script kiddie mods.

I don't mind if people have/use mods in Single Player. However if people are going to abuse them and "crack" them to bring them Online, then get rid of mods completely.

I really don't gonna use mods in this game but ban mods from single player thats is dumb move from rockstar, but i think mods on online should be banned and only the visual ones should be allowed.

acceptable but if banning mods a whole is what rockstar has to do to stop script kiddies (they aren't really called hackers, common misconception.) they should do it.

Are you acting stupid on purpose? Since when do you speak for all of us? And how does it mean no mods for single player just because of a single update.. they will be fixed anyways

@User above: 10/10 trolling would Colombian Tie again.

R* were probably like:

- How is our multiplayer cheater problem again?

- We'll put a insignificant update, so the script hook they wrote will break. But...

- What?

- That would also disable the scripts for Singleplayer and the mods they made.

- So f*ck' em.
