New PC for GTA

That still doesn't explain why a theoretically slower CPU beat the faster CPU in the previous test you showed.

To be honest, I don't think a CPU test serves much purpose when every CPU is bottlenecked by the GPU.

Read the article. It explains a lot.

I'm just saying that the benchmark results are not representative of the actual gameplay.

The article also offered no explanation to why FX-9590 was slower than FX-8370E in one of the tests, and why did a previous-gen Intel beat the current gen, even after turning the HT off.

No thought or effort was put into making this test.

Honestly... I'm done here. Using built-in benchmark, GPU-bottlenecking ALL of the tested CPUs, irrational results with no explanation... this just seems worthless. EOT for me.

Crap benchmarking done without proper methodology by some third rate, low-rent reviewers with no real hardware knowledge. Actually quite funny in isolation.

I know there are people that want to kill me for saying this but AMD is trash. It will never be better than intel. Their CPUs are sub par but their GPUs are ok

why not get a i5 4460 and a gtx780?

gigabyte mobo

ripjaws ddr3 ram @1866Mhz

plus the power, fans, HDD,SSD nad case of your choice. Sorry not sure on the price in pounds

It's all good but I'd suspect that it would be out of his budget when you add up everything else. Personally on a tight budget I'd go with an i3 or a G3258 and save up for an i5 and likely a new mobo given that the OP may wait for a Skylake i5 given that Skylake is planned to come out in a few months so an i5 will likely follow a few months behind the initial release.

  • 3 weeks later...

Hey guys! I would like to play GTA V too but my current pc is too old so I'm planning to build a new one, but I'm not sure which parts should I get and my budget is low :/
I'd like to play smoothly at 1080p on high-very high settings. My budget is around $730.. is it possible to get a decent rig for this amount of money?

I know the prices are different in every country but if somebody could recommend me some cpu, gpu etc that would be very helpful.

Sorry for my english :$
