GTX 660 Looks Amazing

These last settings really are holding me off from getting a GTX 970. The gameplay is crisp and clear along with a few hicups but even those do not take away from how good it looks and plays on a 2GB card. I think setting the refresh rate to Auto really helps.

Settings:

NIVIDIA Control Panel (all default except below)

Antialiasing - FXAA On

DSR - Factors 2.00x (native resolution)

DSR - Smoothness 50%

Vertical Sync Adaptive

GTA V Panel

FXAA – Off

MSAA – x4

TXAA – Off

VSYNC – Off

Population Density – 50

Population Variety – 50

Distance Scaling – 75

Texture - High

Shader - Very High

Shadow - High

Reflection Quality - Very High

Reflection MSAA – Off

Water/Particles/Grass Quality – All High

Soft Shadows – Softer

Post FX – Normal

Motion Blur Strength – Off

Depth of Field – Off

Anisotropic Filtering – Off

Ambient Occlusion – Off

Tessellation – Off

Advanced - All Off

im guessing 30fps? Also, 50% dsr smoothing is pretty blurry

34 - 63 when doing the Rockstar benchmark. No blurring that I notice. This has the same clean look and play like Watch Dogs when maxed. An occasional stutter during high speed driving, but for a 2gb card, Im impressed.

Im going to try and use shadowplay and see if it retains the quality.

My previous GPU was a GTX 660, so it's good to hear that it can still run games pretty well.

I have an Asus GTX 660 and this is what I run. Will pull 60fps in the rain easy almost everywhere but does slow down to 30 at worst at other times/locations times for a little while, doesn't bother me at all. Just did a benchmark and it was above 58fps for most of the test, only dropped to 30 around the vinewood sign for some reason, looked faster than 30 though. Got 40~45 around the rail bridge, went back to 60 as the camera chased the jet.
All in all, runs god damn fantastic. I doubt any computer will push constant total 60fps so there's that. Keep in mind I have a i5 4690k Devil's Canyon, Running win7, 8GB Ram. I'm also in the special club of people who have crammed their OS, essential programs and GTA V onto a 120GB SSD. 16gb remaining :D the countdown is on!
Nvidia Control Panel stuff is stock/whatever it comes as.

If I were to get a better graphics card, I'd be wanting something that can definitely have everything maxed & on. Not sure if the 980 can do that...
