It should be open source to prove there's no hidden key loggers or backdoors

Come on guys, document your research. I want to add support to RAGE file formats in my RenderWare toolchain! I also would like to have a specification on the thing you call "openFormats". That would allow me to write a batch converter of DFF to RAGE format and other way round.

You could just open source it on some SVN that does not allow easy forking if you are scared of derivates. Then researches can read into your code, making the docs for ya.

In the end that wouldn't do much as 99% of people would still be downloading the official binaries, which don't necessarily have to be compiled from the public sources.

Plus a quick test with a sandbox program should reveal any malicious intents - that can only be done with the compiled release so source code isn't needed for that. Bad excuse, kaos057.

lucky cthulhu

we will contribute our codes on Github.com to improve this tool and give it more functions if it become open-source.
