Best place to build a PC?

They all have different prices at different times tbh. My rig was built with bits from amazon, overclockers, novatech and ebuyer.

I'd recommend Newegg. If nothing else you can find, research, and compare your parts on there and then google them to see if they are cheaper somewhere else.

I always go through newegg but I hear of people looking up parts there and then going through Amazon because it's cheaper. I love Newegg too much to bother with that though. Also I wish I could build it for you. If I could build a computer every day, I would. But instead I only build once once every five years because I don't have unlimited funds.

Building a computer is simple just make sure all your parts work together. Any questions PM me I'll walk you through it. As long as your capable of turning a screw driver and pluging wires in your good. Just watch some YouTube videos on pc building. Pick a good motheboard and make sure your processor socket matches the motherboard socket and your ram speed and socket works with it.

The parts can be found all over the place. Newegg, Tiger Direct, Microcenter...even Amazon. Just search around for the best price for what you want.

Putting it together is easy, as long as you have patience. Make sure you put in all the stands for the motherboard, so you don't have it touching bare metal, then meticulously match plug to part on the motherboard. It can be annoying at times, but the feeling of accomplishment you get on first POST is worth it.

Also, as said above, an anti-static bracelet can be priceless. Put it on and hook it to some metal. Better safe than sorry.

slightly off topic, just an advice for your PC, don't go cheap on the PSU, PSU is the most important part of your system for a quality PC (and HDD/SSD come close second after that) don't go cheap and don't go too powerfull too, just find the right power you need.

Uhm.. when you're just picking the parts it's no "building your own". It's just "picking your parts".

Best place for building your own PC is at home.

Don't pay someone to build a PC. #1 it's easier than building legos #2 every PC gamer should know how to replace parts in their PC.

I'm all for building your own PC (have done that in the past), but I can also recommend Dell's XPS 8700 (might need a beefier power supply if you put in a high-end video card), but other than that, a very nice, compact but feature-laden system. You can get new or refurbished 8700s for a song on eBay, and can install Win 7 for little cost even on systems that have Win 8.x.

+1 on that, especially as power supplies slowly lose efficiency over time. A good 650W PSU will work for most builds, unless you're going SLI+.

I would say at Trevor's trailer. That way some roaches can get in it and have a nice place to live. ;)

$1000 or less. Looking to get above PS4 performance FPS and texture wise.
