The best solution is for us to work together and push out a more feature full version of ENT to the public. Before the ni**er menu guys get the time to release the version they stole.

So people have a great opensource menu for us to use. No one will buy the ni**er mod if we make ENT better for free. it will also show People they forked the code.

The thing is If you stop developing this mod you are letting the hackers win giveing them mental validation that you are fine with them steeling your code.....

 

Im more than happy to help advance the code base with the community..

 

Charging people for a stolen opensource based menu is disgusting and if we dont stand up. it will continue to happen..

I saw his reddit thread so I came here to support him. I've been using his trainer for a while now and it sucks that it won't be updated anymore. There's no way he could have foreseen this happening to his mod.

And what about update #28 ? What about your work with the props ? If you leave, it will stay a n****r-menu only feature and we'll never be able to see it.

OK, so this is what's going to happen.

 

U28 is going to be released at some point, mainly so that the whole props work wasn't a waste of time. It's not going to happen as soon as was planned, because I'm in no mood to do it, but I'm sure it'll happen eventually.

 

After that, for as long as large communities like NM continue to exist and take advantage of this work, I'm done contributing. I'm a professional software engineer, which means that I could get paid quite well for whatever work I do, yet I donate what would be commercially valuable time to things and people that I like. Unfortunately if that goodwill gets abused, I have to stop. You know exactly who to blame for this, so take it up with them.

 

I'm sure you'll ask why I don't carry on offline, on my own. There was a reason why it was open source in the first place: I wanted it to be a community effort, and I didn't want to be the only person propping this up forever. Sadly I can't trust the community, if only because of a few people, so I can't do that any more.

 

I'll decide what to do with the code and/or research after that point.

Seems legit.

More seriously, I don't think we (The ENT community) can do anything about NM, apart from creating a thread that will be removed from their forum and beeing banned. But that does not mean that the cooperative side of ENT is lost. There is still hope for something. We just need to find out how the hell they had access to the code, to prevent future attempt. I can think of 3 possibility:

-One of the guys that had an access to the sources WAS the developer of NM

-They used a github's glitch

-One of the guys that had an access to ENT's sources (including you) got their password stolen.

I hope you consider this possibility, and again, I know how annoying it is to see that some people earned money from YOUR work (that could have been your money)

This is extremely sh*tty. ENT is by far and away the best of the trainers out there and it's tragic that it has come to this due to the actions of certain individuals for whom the word "c*nt" is entirely insufficient.

 

I could sit here and beg for this not to be the end, but I realize that my comments are completely inconsequential. So I'll just say thank you for the significant contribution you've made to my continued enjoyment of GTAV.

I actually have no idea what's going on and who's to blame (don't even know what NM means), but thank you so much for all you've done for us up to this point!
