Release 24 is probably going to be a bunch of minor stuff. So far we have a seatbelt improvement, radio always off, some teleport locations, some key stuff and some bug fixes.

 

Any small pieces or bug fixes you guys want? NOT bodyguard menus etc.

 

Also if anyone would like to donate a "First Person To Actually Read The Release Notes" prize, I'll be happy to award it, if indeed it ever happens.

I should start by giving you lots of cookies, arewenotmen, for your excellent work on this trainer/mod. :cookie::cookie::cookie::cookie::cookie: (share some cookies with your code contributors!)

 

I have one request, which I suspect may be quite easy to do: In vehicle spawning, could you add an option to type in vehicle (model) name? I'm in the process of cloning police vehicles (additional vehicles/liveries), so there will be additional models to choose from that would only otherwise spawn during a specific wanted star level.

Yes, a custom model spawner is probably doable, provided there's space in the menus.

 

A couple more things tonight:

 

1. If anyone would like to make a decent video of the trainer in use, showing it off, then I'll happily host it on the front page and on GTA5 Mods.

 

2. The input from other coders has tailed off a bit and sometimes I feel like it's just me & a couple of others. We're doing cool stuff but the community collaboration goal of this could be working out better. If you have a closed-source mod, or you can write fresh C++, please think about contributing. If you're a fan of someone else's mod, please encourage them to get involved. I'm not going to keep so highly active on this forever, and the idea was that other people could share in it and run with it.

Thanks very much for this. So much better than the original Native Trainer, and the 'Seat Belt' option actually works on bikes!

Why are you using a trainer online in the first place? You'll get no help for that.

How about "always wet" option? If you can remove wet effect when you restore health, maybe there is a way to keep that effect active all the time?

I haven't been able to update to the ill gotten ENT versions, but in the vehicle modifications menu has neon lights and tire smoke color been added?

After downloading this trainer over 20 times, you have to realize reading every word after every release/changelog gets a bit monotonous and god forbid us humans make a simple mistake and not reading every single word of information. We see new release and go Oooo, download and find out new things along the way.

 

But one *minor* thing I've noticed (and maybe this was done for a reason but I have no clue), the clock paused option doesn't seem to save/stick after restarting the game. No biggie, I just keep it paused a bunch cause of night. Looking forward to future releases though, good job.

Not nearly as monotonous as, after documenting all the changes each time in the first place, having to answer the same questions (usually complaints, actually) over and over again. I'm well into double figures on "my controls don't work in the menu" now.

Menu button to make animations go infinite? -1 for the duration should work, but still wonder where to place it so it does not look out of place.

The animations piece is due some proper work at some point. In the next update, you will get movement anims, but it's still a mess as far as usability goes.

 

I have some vague ideas for it, like being able to bookmark favourite anims, but we'll see.

- An option to turn "off" the slow motion during stun jump, or always set max speed by default ( maybe i miss an option somewhere in the game setting, but i always need to accelerate the motion speed, its a bit annoying, too much used to the Online that doesnt have this slow motion thing ^^ )

 

- Maybe an option to not have cinematic camera during stun jump ^^

 

- create first sub category in the vehicle / skin save part. like "cat1" -> saved vehicle / skin , "cat2" -> saved vehicle / skin.. etc.

Ped Spawner? Like spawn a lot of NPC's for target practice and general genocide etc?

There are some DLC MP models missing but that's all I know of.

  • Slow-mo-whilst-aiming now doesnt apply in cutscenes
  • Added Freeze Wanted Level, thanks to sondaismith! Note: for now, this is not saved or reapplied on restart.
  • Drunk Mode, added to end of Player menu.
  • Teleportation location fixes or additions: Humane Labs Underwater Tunnel, Stadium, Max Renda, Simeons Showroom
  • When saving & restoring cars repainted at Los Santos Customs, paint now matches better, possibly perfectly
  • Now able to spawn vehicles by manually entering the model name. This is useful if youve added content yourself.
  • Ability to set walk/run/idle movement anims. This whole anim thing is still experimental.
  • Airbrake mode help text can be toggled. Default key: H.
  • Added NOT_BOUND and VK_NOTHING to controller & keyboard mapping possibilities. This allows you to assign no controller buttons and/or keys to a function.
  • Bug fix: sometimes experienced stuck keyboard keys
  • Bug fix: Sorted out the mismatched horns in vehicle mod menu, after they changed recently
  • Bug fix: Various options werent reset to proper state when selecting Reset All Settings
  • Bug fix: Various settings and values werent saving properly
  • Various minor fixes & UI improvements

Cool cool! :D Are you also gonna add the new clothings stuff for the skin changer? Also, is it possible to add the U.S. Navy NPC from that one Heist prep mission? Not sure if it's already in there...

If the clothes are part of the existing skin system, they're already in there automatically. Have you looked?

 

I haven't spotted the NPC model name, but I'll have a look.

 

^No rush, just wanted to make sure you haven't forgotten about it. :panic:

Thanks so much @AreWeNotMen for all you hard work on this trainer... it's really great!

One of the things I liked so much about your mod was how well organized the menu system is. It is so elegant and clean making it a joy to work with. I would like to make the following minor modification suggestions:

1. To the last page of the "Player" menu add/move:
"Reset Skin On Death" from the menu: "Miscellaneous" > "Trainer Options"

2. To the last page of the "Vehicles" menu add/move:
"Vehicle Invic. Includes Visual Damage" from the menu: "Miscellaneous" > "Trainer Options"

3. From the "World" menu move "Weather" back to the Main/Top menu

4. Create a new top menu item "Trainer Settings"

5. Add "Reset All Settings" to this new "Trainer Settings" Main/Top Menu

6. To this new "Trainer Settings" Main/Top menu add/move:
"Lock Controls While in Menu" from the menu: "Miscellaneous" > "Trainer Options"
(The menu "Miscellaneous" > "Trainer Options" is now empty and no longer needed)

7. Finally combine what remains in the "World" and "Miscellaneous" menus as "Miscellaneous"

So that takes care of changing the menu system. I think you did an excellent job with menus, my suggestions just tighten it up a little, while keeping the same number of Main/Top menu items.

I would also suggest adding a new command to this new "Trainer Settings" Main/Top Menu which would allow the Left Joy Stick to operate while the "Lock Controls While In Menu" setting was ON. This could be disabled if there is a setting in the .ini file that reassigns any commands to the Left Joy Stick (although why anyone would do that makes no sense to me, but it is nice to have the option to do so). That would probably stop most of the complaints about not moving while in your trainer menu.


Two last suggestions:
1. When changing skins in the "NPCs" (and "Animals") menus, it would be nice if the players were facing forward instead of backwards, to see the applied changes more clearly.

2. Under the "Player Skin Options" menu could you add a "Randomize" command that would take the current skin and apply random options for THAT skin (heads, tops, etc.)? Saw this in another trainer and it was kind of cool.

Any way to avoid setting Vehicle's Engine/Petrol Tank to 2000 (when setting a vehicle Invincible) instead of the default 1000 ? It can conflict with various mods...
