I'm only running the script hook and this trainer but I still cant use the pearlescent topcoat menu with out the base color changing as soon as I enter the topcoat menu I mentioned this earlier but I didn't see if you saw my post I am not doing anything different, spawn car, set main paint to metallic, enter pearlescent topcoat menu and bam metallic color has changed.

Also, I dont know if this has been reported or not, but the pause time/clock is broken :(

Btw another report... On some vehicles - for example the Tornado - changing the main color isn't posible. The first color changes the pearlcoat, the secondary changes nothing and pearlcoat again just pearlcoat. I guess it's on vehicles that have no secondary color, because it's also on Speedo. Would you please take a look at it?

Also, the Tornado again has a category of "9". I don't remember what it was in LS Customs but it would need renaming.

You're probably right that they have no secondary colour, but I don't think I can determine this in-game.

This works fine for me. What exactly happens? Do you have Sync Time turned on?

Can anybody tell me where the saved cars are stored.

I installed the game on another rig and transfered my saves. Everything is alright except the car slots in the trainer menu are empty. Which file do I need to copy?

It's stored in the file called "ent-db" or something like that, in the root folder of your game, not in your savefiles.

Almost - it's in %appdata%\GTAV Enhanced Native Trainer, e.g.

C:\Users\You\AppData\Roaming\GTAV Enhanced Native Trainer

WELL THAT'S A SHAME ISN'T IT IF YOU'D ONLY SHOUTED A BIT LOUDER I MIGHT HAVE TURNED UP EARLIER AND ASKED:

Any volunteers for testing controller support please?

In seriousness, Update 23 is ready-ish, but in particular I don't know whether it'll work on random computers of the world, so I would like people to volunteer to give it a go, especially if they have an XInput controller.

That way I can find out whether it works gradually, before it goes up for general grabs and thousands of angry spoilt children threaten to kill me.

UPDATE #23 - PRE-RELEASE FOR TESTERS, Last Updated 22:30, 14th June

Changes:

  • XBox controller support. See the XML file for the default map. Remember to deploy the XML to your game directory.
  • Game input disabled whilst in the menu/airbrake. I imagine this may be unpopular, but basically its required for usable controller support. Might be made optional in future.
  • "Ill Gotten Gains" weapon skins added to weapons mod menu
  • Keyboard support overhaul now supports Ctrl/Alt/Shift modifiers. The teleport slightly forward key is therefore changed to Ctrl-Numpad-Divide.
  • Extra time options: move forward/backwards a day, or five minutes. Thanks to dratom for this work.
  • Extra time option: slow motion only whilst aiming
  • Workaround for frozen weather, which using previous API calls causes a permanently flat ocean (no waves) in the new game version. This is probably a game bug.
  • Bug fix: Moon Gravity wasn't working
  • Bug fix: Couldnt change wheel colour on vehicle with matte paint
  • Various minor bug fixes
  • World/time menu reorganised
Default controller map:
  • Right shoulder + Y : activate menu (like F4)
  • D-Pad : navigate menu
  • X : select
  • Y: back
  • Right shoulder + A : activate airbrake (like F6)
  • Airbrake controls are explained in UI
  • Vehicle boost: L shoulder + L trigger
  • Vehicle stop: R shoulder + R trigger
  • Vehicle rockets: L shoulder + R shoulder
Available here

Well, so far from what I've tested, keep in mind I've only tested how to pop it up and.. It requires a double tap of the same button combination for the menu to pop up, I'm not sure if it's possible to disable this feature if you decide it's better to use the keyboard instead but, I think I'm going to stick with the keyboard when it comes to popping up the menu for the Trainer and enabling things instead.

I just made an account here to say: THANK YOU for this awesomeness that is Enhanced Native Trainer, it made testing different color configs for cars alot easier.

But anyways; I downloaded the Pre-release, and found the controls for my Xbox controller seemed a little cluncky, since my character decided to exit the car rather than open the menu.

So I tried changing it with the ent-config.xml, but the trainer doesn't want to recognize my new button combos (R-shoulder + X to open menu, A to select, B to go back).

And yes, this means I kinda volunteered to test controller support

Franklin, the menu popup combination does seem a bit hit and miss - I think it requires some "debounce", i.e. to stop recognising the same press twice.

For me the combo itself works OK but sometimes the menu flashes in and out.

Please though, keep having a go with it and see what else you can find.

Edit: thanks for that Jabbl - I haven't messed around with the XML much to be fair so clearly that still needs some work.

Well.. When I got the weapon skins they all worked, however once I got to the "Vintage Pistol" and tried applying the wooden etch skin I got an error

"CORE: An unexpected error has occoured while executing '$RDYTEYX.asi' (Formally named EnhancedTrainer.asi) (0x00007FFE9C33E9C0) id 33"

Well, I saw this and tried selecting the Vintage Pistol under the Weapons menu, and then the trainer crashed, with almost the same error, just without the '$RDYTEYX.asi' (Formally named EnhancedTrainer.asi) bit

The latest 23 has some reeeally nice additions thank you so much. However I'm curious, before I was able to open the menu and still drive the car while I was navigating the menus(yep lol and I use Keyboard), now it doesn't. Was that on purpose or there's something wrong on my end? I like how it was but if it was on purpose because of the controller addition then I'm ok. Is more of a curiosity, I'm in love with this trainer lol :)

Thanks guys. Should have fixes for (a) trainer key debounce, (b) the XML parsing and © the above shortly, if not, tomorrow.

Edit: it's updated.

So after using the remote to apply the new textures to some of the pistols gta v crashed with this error.
Also like i believe was mentioned right trigger+y does work for the menu, but not always. It'll give the sound like it opens but nothing shows.
Not being able to move around either while in the trainer is frustrating maybe a toggle like mentioned would be good.

Yes it is deliberate - see the changelog.

The reason is that when using a keyboard, for example F4 isn't bound to anything in-game so you can press it all you like. When using a controller, almost all the buttons do something in-game, so really you want to stop that happening (or at least reduce it).

That sucks a bit for people who don't care about gamepads (I guess - they might like it) so in future it might be configurable.

And it's bedtime here, so I'll pick this up again sometime tomorrow.

Thanks, apparently it doesn't have one so I'll take it out.

The game has a model for it, but it's not used. Maybe it will be 'added' by DLC at some future point?

A new Release 23 test version is out. There's a few changes to the list below.

UPDATE #23 - PRE-RELEASE FOR TESTERS, Last Updated 10:00, 15th June

Changes:

  • XBox controller support. See the XML file for the default map.
  • By default, game input disabled whilst in the menu/airbrake. You’ll find you want this if you’re primarily using a gamepad. However, it can be turned off via the Misc menu.
  • The Update 22 feature, Vehicle invincibility covering cosmetic damage, is also now optional in the Misc menu.
  • 'No helmet' option in vehicle menu, thanks to sondaismith
  • Bug fix: Moon Gravity wasn't working
  • Bug fix: Couldnt change wheel colour on vehicle with matte paint
  • Various minor bug fixes
  • World/time menu reorganised
Default controller map:
  • Right shoulder + Y : activate menu (like F4)
  • D-Pad : navigate menu
  • X : select
  • Y: back
  • Right shoulder + A : activate airbrake (like F6)
  • Airbrake controls are explained in UI
  • Vehicle boost: L shoulder + L trigger
  • Vehicle stop: R shoulder + R trigger
  • Vehicle rockets: L shoulder + R shoulder

Thanks for the feedback!

There's still a few tweaks to go into 23, I think, and then it can go public.
